so i just saw a demeaning post on yoruba women. saying if u want to be more succesful in life as a yoruba man...marry an igbo woman.. such disrespect coming from a yoruba man.. OAP freez added to it that igbo girls are more cleaner and beautiful..but why? is that how yoruba men truly feel about us?

different people with different characters.. people withe different experience but ones experience aint a vallidty to decide.tribe shouldn't be a judge on it.

Ignore them. I'm sure that the vast majority of Yoruba men love and cherish Yoruba women. As an Igbo woman, I don't like it when my Yoruba sisters are insulted; you guys are beautiful too.

Besides, it's not about tribe nah

The vast majority of Igbo men marry Igbo women with the remainder marrying other eastern, Edo or white women. Some marry Hausa, Yoruba and other ethnicities but they are in the minority. To give you an example, out of 50 or so males of marriageable age in my extended family, only one is 'married' a non-Igbo lady, and she is a white lady from Germany.

That's rubbish stereotype. Nigerians are very good at it. The same Yoruba man that will say that nonsense will openly insult Igbo men and call them all manner of degrading names like criminals, drug dealers, etc. So he hails Igbo girls but forgets that their father's are the same set of people he calls names..

Nigeria is filled up with hypocrites. People who only find fault in other groups while not considering they have loads of faults too. Are the people castigating other groups saints? Just forget about that trash and move on jare..

I've met some Yoruba women that I'd have loved to date or even settle with so what's the trash about them being ugly and dirty? There's this particular one Seun, I met during NYSC. She's so beautiful tall and endowed. That I didn't marry that girl's cuz of financial issues.

I've dated from both tribes . The simple truth is that however beautiful and classy an average Yoruba girl is, personal hygiene seems to be a serious challenge she struggles with. I don't know why it's like that. My yoruba male friends feel so too

tribalism apart, the soups are an eyesore.I'm having problem finding the picture and i would have shown you what they have served me to eat.in the north, Yoruba restaurants usually more affordable but people prefer igbo and edo owned restaurants.
