Hello, I am an ardent reader of Nairaland and I know I would get justice here. While on an endless wait for my TRV from the Canadian Embassy, I decided to take from my travel money to do some professional certification just to get busy. My dad advised me not to but I went ahead. I made enquiries online from New Horizon systems solution for the MTA exams. She replied my email with the exams fee. I paid cash of 110,000 to the account she provided. Fortunately for me as God would have it, I was granted my TRV that same day, I quickly went to New Horizon Office in Ikeja with my refund letter and the evidence of study abroad. I haven't filled their form neither have I captured. I explained that I need the funds to add to my ticket fare which dad refused to give me till now until I get the money back from New Horizon. I was assured that I would get my money back but it's 2 months now and I'm yet to get any refund. I have called severally, emailed severally. There is this particular staff that keeps lying to me everyday. She even teaches other staffs what to say which I hear underneath whenever I call them. They asked for my account number last week because I threatened to expose them on Nairaland. and they promised to pay but still nothing. One of their staffs promised me that I would be paid today, Monday. Only to be told that the signatory to the account is not in. There is a cover up within the office. Whenever I ask for the bosses' number, they always promise to send it which they don't. N110,000 is more than 300 Canada Dollars.
I have been put through a lot of psychological and emotional stress. I don't have another means of buying my flight ticket. The name of this staff is Gloria Akpan. She keeps lying through her nose. She has told different lies for 2 months. I have run out of patience. I really need my money back. They must have been doing it for a long time. They want to delay till I travel so that I would forget about the money. I would not annd I promise to expose this Gloria Akpan. She's unprofessional. Sometimes she yells at me and cuts the call. I would attach her picture and the screenshot of the text messages she sent when this gets to the front page. Please ignore my grammatical errors.

Modified: Did I even mention that my Aged father called them over and over and they were even rude to him. I have called and appealed passionately, I even went to their office like a gentleman. No Noise. All I get is empty promises. I have a copy of my teller which I also submitted to them.

A friend of mine was in a similar situation some time ago. Their Ikeja office staffs are so rude uncouth and dubious. Only God knows how many people they have done that to. A friend paid for a course only to be told that the exchange rate has gone up so he has to make additional payment. He refused and requested a refund. it took eternity before he could get his money back. Those people are son unprofessional especially that Gloria Akpan.. My friend explained how they kept passing him around till he couldn't take it again. They gave him back his money.

THAT IS WHAT THEY KNOW HOW TO DO BEST.

Tell them dat u re taking them to EFCC or u will use Ogun gods of iron on them every body fear dat

Thank you. Gloria I know this is your handiwork. If you were owed 110,000 for so long maybe you would know how it feels. After seeing this on Nairaland, they quickly called that their so called signatory to the account has finally arrived and I should come and pick up my check. I took cash to deposit in the account Gloria gave me. This is 2016, why would I be paid with check that can take eternity to clear. There are so many other forms of payment. I want my money paidwith cash. So much for an ict firm. I should travel down to lagos all they way to pick up check that wil still bounce.

How can I pay with cash and you want to refund me with check? Who does that? Not for and ICT company.

I have told them to say their own side of the story. After they saw the story on Nairaland, they quickly called that my check is ready. Why check when I paid with cash? I wrote a refund letter, copy of my admission letter abroad and the teller for payment.

I have resolved the issue with New Horizon Management and I have been paid. Thanks to all that showed concern. Gloria Akpan, sorry for calling you out.

Thank goodness your shady dealings were exposed as i have a couple of acquaintances that planned to seek your services and ive now warned them all off.

There's NO excuse for any 'vetting' to take more than two days to complete.
