You think they're stupid? Hahaha. They know why they're doing that. Do you think the man holding the umbrella is not rich enough to employ 10 black men to do it for him? You see, unlike Nigerians, they are more interested in creating wealth than showing it off. After putting that one on his high horse now, he will be eager to spend his money on whatever proposal the Chinese people are showing him. Which is exactly what they want. Bush, Obama, and other US presidents are always holding their own umbrellas/taking off their own suits, etc. They don't allow these kind of psychological tricks because they want to be on level ground when making a business deal. Those who have pretended to love one lecturer by washing his car and sucking up to him every single day will understand. At the end of the day you get your A, you get the lecturer's favor, and he just feels proud of himself. Its not to say that you can't do things genuinely for people but this is a simple way of getting someone to listen to you.

But when a black dude does this to get "favour", he is considered a "slave"

It is a major slave mentality if you castigate your own people but find excuse for an 'Oyinbo' who does same.
