Today Marks exact 2years in office for 2nd term of Governor Rauf Aregbesola of state of Osun but no single Commissioner Nor special Advisers, so I am wondering maybe its constitutional or Not for a state Governor not of select commissioners.
I checked 1999 constitutions to confirm this, and I came across this:

192. (1) There shall be such offices of Commissioners of the Government of a State as may be established by the Governor of the State

One is forced to wonder if he took the cue from the President's six-month ministerless stint.

This is Nigeria, though -- our beloved country -- where everything goes. Congratulations to Baba Kabiru for ruling his state all by himself.

So a Governor will be acting as commissioners as well?
Is it only Osun that has money problem?

Mind you, those Governors that were elected in 2015, most of them have commissioners and special advisers.

What is ur problem with that. Why do u appoint commissioners when special advisers can do the job. why duplicating expenses. You may, however, apply for the post.

if thats what he needs to do to have enough fund for payment of civil servants w&s, so be it. with the exception of lag, how many state can you list 3commissioners and their effect on the masses?
we have some advisers and perm sec, make those ones too task their brains, no one is a superhuman.
also you quoted the law, do you understand what the term "as may be" means? there is nothing illegal about his actions, if you are one of those wey wan b commissioner, port to another state where una party dey, eg, oyo or ogun.
i think you should prepare an estimate of their take home before you go on with this. the governor can reduce his pay, he can never force any appointee to do same

He is diverting those ghost commissioners salaries to his personal account.

With this your point now.

You're saying all those states that have financial difficulties should sack their commissioners or better still should not have commissioners at all.
Think of it, Why will a single person will acting as Governor and also as a commissioners?

You're among those that are blaming Buhari for not appointing Ministers for six months but commending a Governor for not having commissioners for 2years.

The states has permanent secretaries, consultants, special advisers.

So why waste money when there's no money?

i dont know what you wanna hear, seems you have special interest in the appointments.
hebis the ceo for a reason, he is meant ti take drastic decision when needs be. has he committed anything illegal? no, if you think otherwise, back up your claim with the law, fyi, for every illegal act, there is also a consequence.
making drastic decisions is one of the reasons i love pa akande today more than any politician in nigeria. he never considered losing 2nd term by doing that which he reasonably thinks to be right
