Hello nairalanders, I just own a Honda Accord 2000 v6 (baby boy) in less than 2months and I change the engine oil every month but I haven't changed the gear oil and I don't know how long it has been changed but anytime I open to check the gear oil gauge I notice that it seems the oil is still ok, please can you advice me best oil to use for the transmission and how often do I need to change it please help!!!

Tell your engineer to check the level at which the oil is presently. If it needs to be top or change he will let you know.

I don't think this guy is in Nigeria also I guess you are driving a Keke napep as they change oil frequently.

You are wasting money that could be put to good use. Buy a good full synthetic oil and use it for 6months or 5k miles which ever comes first. Oil every month, that's roughly 36k a year, that's my oil budget for 2years.

For the transmission/engine oil recommended and change interval, check your owners manual
