How did you choose the topic in the first place? It is good to choose topics you have already confirmed are researchable and that you can get relevant literature on. The key words here would be PUBLIC CONFIDENCE and AUDIT REPORT.

This is the situation you find yourself when you refuse to consult existing literatures before submitting project topic to your supervisor. If you had tried browsing to check for journals before submitting that topic, I know you would not have find yourself in this situation. However, I believe no matter how complex you think your topic maybe, there are literatures available for you online.
When using any of the key word to search, it is advisable to always put 'Journal Pdf' at the end of your search. This is because most journals are in PDF.
Please, don't start writing anything if you have not read at least 20journals related to your study unless you may end up plagiarising.
After reading the journals, you will know the key concepts to review, the theory to ground your work on and your empirical review will come easy. In fact, starting your project with literature review before going back to chapter one is also good. Goodluck.
