Just dnt know y FRSC must hav guns, if they do, then Civil defense to me should drop d use of guns. We need a security outfit which will mediate n cooperate with d society without d fear of them having or holding heavy weapons

I have always believed there should be an armed wing of the FRSC. However, all our military, paramilitary and security agencies need retraining on their use of firearms.

The cons of this move severely outweigh the pros. I know FRSC officials have been fatalities of armed individuals, and their immediate security is what prompted the move, but the FG should always see the bigger picture with things as delicate as this. Police Units should've been attached to the FRSC patrol teams instead, would be much more safer than this

Already these guys smash people's windshield with sticks and stones. Now they are arming them?

Surely as a country we lack compassion for ourselves and the ones in uniform represent the hatred of a million ghosts.

Army
Navy
Airforce
Police; SARS, ATS, etc
DSS
Civil Defence
Now FRSC
Peace corps will soon follow suit then MoD, boys scout why don't they just grant automatic gun permit to the average citizen.

Soonest we might not need to fear robbers anymore but rather men in uniform.

Please get back the weapons from them immediately. You do Road Safety by CARE
and not by COERCION.. Otherwise, no one will travel safely in this Country again.
