Well, my days are pretty routine. I wake up at the crack of dawn, actually at the Muslim's call to prayer, cos there is a mosque opposite my house.
Then I surf the net, scavenge for news, reply mails and messages.
At 7am I fix breakfast.
As in the civil service, work should resume by 8am, but being a senior staff, I sometimes leave home at 8.30am just so as not to be caught in traffic. My work is 5mins from home.
I pace myself at wo?rk, and usually would be done for the day by 1pm. (except on occasions where I have to man the Emmergency unit)
You dey enjoy o. Abeg help me look for work na bros

Same with me. I ran from Lag 2 yrs ago 4 same reason.
Sometimes I ask ppl why they're itching to go to Lagos and why others say they can't live in Lagos. I've seen it all in lag and believe me, it's not the best place to live , let alone raise a family

ok,well I get out early in the morning coz getting a bus from my area is not easy, most of the buses already have full load from idogbo, that's my only problem, getting to ringroad to get a bus from third junction is easy
Evenings, getting bus from sakponba road isn't easy, cos most the buses already have full load from ringroad, then getting to third junction, getting a bus is easy but they always increase the amount, which seems to be only synonymous with Benin city, public transport drivers increase tfare as high as twice the normal amount every evening

Well, Ibadan is not like all what you guys av bn saying. U don't av to wake up so early because of traffic except u want to do something important at d office. I wake up by 5 am, do some necessary things before leaving by 7. It takes just 10 mins before I get to d office. And spend #80 to and fro.

Work in Churchgate strt, V.I
Stay in Olambe, Akute. Ogun State
Wake up by 5:00am, bath, dress up, munch bread n tea at times, dash out of the house to my bus stop, take bike to Ojodu berger for 200 if am at the bustop by 5:30am, if nt b4 5:30am, take bus for 150 to avoid dust and muds on d bad road frm olambe tru akute, tru alagbole b4 getting to ojodu berger, treck to BRT Terminal along Lagos/Ibadan at Berger, take BRT bus to CMS, stucked in traffic at times on 3MB or when bus follow another route like Ikorodu road to fadeyi to leventis/cms, frm CMS to Law school, bust fare at #150, Treck to my office get in at times by 7:40 am or 8:00am cos office resumes by 8:00am.
Close by 5:30pm, treck to Round about, take keke to Obalende, treck to BRT terminal at Obalende and enter bus going to Berger charged at 150 of not lucky take bus to Ogba/Agege route which goes for 200.
I cant stand the queue at TBS, its hellic at times, by the time i get home, maybe 10pm due to traffic or 11am at times. If the traffoc is less i get home by 8:30pm.
No time to waste, frm berger, cross bridge, take bike home, 300 most times.
Spend 1,000 daily on T-fare, 500 for feeding.
The hustle is real

I leave my house by 7:30 every day, get to the office around 8, sometimes few minutes after 8.

getting keke to the office is not the issue but getting one coming home. I close by 5 pm everyday, except when I have to stay back to do extra work for my boss.

times like that I stay at the bus stop for a long time before I get keke home because they hardly ply my area and if I get one that does, the fare is almost double what I pay coming to work.

transport money on a daily basis is two hundred naira or two hundred and fifty depending sha. sometimes I hardly have time to take breakfast before leaving but I don't joke with lunch.

I work in VI and stay at Mile2/Festac area.
It takes about 1hr-1hr15mins to get to work.

Its one thing getting a bus and another thing for it to load fast.
Traffic factor
etc

Theres staffbus but i dont join it most times cos of the distance from my house.
Which is which? U either stay in mile 2 or in festac
Anyways getting to work shldnt b so mch of a biggie for u,think ur best bet is to go tru Orile-VI

Before I started driving to work, I'd wake up by 5am, leave the house by 6am, get to Kilo bus stop to enter a bus to CMS. I work on the Island.

I'd be there for AT LEAST 20 minutes, waiting for it to get filled up. With the traffic, and the chance of the bus breaking down, I'd get to the office some minutes to 8am. 2 hours on the road!

Don't forget the fat people that you'd be unfortunate to sit beside. Or the ones that are allergic to water, soaps, deodorants, and perfumes. And I hate people toucing me, so I would always make sure I sit in front with the driver. If there are 2 seats, I'd pay for 2.

I decided, enough of this crap, and started driving to work. I've never been more relieved.

Now, I leave my house by 7:15, and get to work before 8am.
Thank God n Lagos gov 4 good roads everywhere........driving made fun

Re: Hop In; Lets Share The Challenges We Face Getting Transportation To Work by Nobody: 7:10pm On Dec 11, 2016
I think people living on the mainland and working on the Island should just find a place to stay close to work from Mon-Fri cos of stress.

Na so oooo, my guy. I cannot come and be killing myself inside Lagos traffick. My elder brother lives in ikotun and works in VI, has to wake at 4.30 am and return at 10/11pm, which kain life?
At a point he had to park his car and go with company bus.
Younger bro works at ajah so has to leave Egbeda by 5 to catch up with company bus. My dear, I don't want a situation where I would have to grow grey hair at 30

So, who are u now responsible for

Lagos ppl just full here anyhow , well I can relate, cos I ran away from Lagos just cos it's too rough and crazy.
Yes there is more life and I would have made more money, but alubarika ni koko. Would rather have a simple life than be perpetually stressed.

The easiest place to get a job is Lagos state. I left my Lagos job ffs.
