Hmm royal rumble season3.

I've once said it somewhere that moremi pertain with the identity of an icon whose history happened outside Yorubaland, and that moremi is identical with Oduduwa and that Oduduwa crept in from among the awori to overshadow any other name Yoruba people may want to adopt as ancestral name.

First, Crowther plucked the name 'oduduwa' from Ado odo, and the name made it to his work, yoruba dictionary. Crowther used the name to advance the point that the ancient yoruba are monotheistic people.

The second coming of oduduwa was in the history of the yoruba by johnson, where we learnt that oduduwa. Was a child of Lamurrudu, a king of mecca.

Meanwhile, crowther was first to pluck the name oduduwa from yoruba liturgy. Today, the oduduwa temple where the name oduduwa began its journey to history book still stand at ilaje quarters at ado-odo.

The history of the Yoruba will be in utter chaos till this place of history is recognised. This was where Oduduwa built her temple and an altar to OLODUMARE.

Now to put the puzzle of moremi together, the name comes to play: what secret is encoded in the name moremi? The word simply says 'child bought breath'. So how does this echoed in yoruba mytholology?

Remember the myth of the orifin of the term ooni, which says it derived from 'omo oluwo ni' then we needed to exhume the identity of the iconic ooni oluwo, the first female ooni.

Thanks.

I see you cc'd terracotta. That's amusing. grin

I read someone here some few weeks or so ago, asked question about the Aare Crown in coincidence with the celebration of Ooni appearing in public with it. The question related with Aare Crown and High Priest Aaron. I had not much data and was rationing the few left so I did not respond.

I just checked, the question has still not been answered. It is very upsetting, Prexios, that those who profess expertise and specialty in Linguistics and History hide behind the screen and refuse the controversy on legitimate questions of shared history and language between Yoruba and Semitic. They all abscond when a self-evident truth pops out. They are back out to fight and extinguish theories that support and prop the truths for more revelations. It's a shame!

Anyway...it is great pleasure to see my brother again doing well and in glorious blessing. May Edumare stretch the years of growth and wellbeing for you to las beyond lifetime, Ase.

Do you see it? I am surprised Moremi was never deified in Yoruba Mythology.

Amen my brother, I'm the happiest man on the planet ever since the day of my espousal. Now that I have a woman to call mine, I've really come to see the world in a new light on a new pedestal. I thanked the ancestors for blessing me with such a beautiful woman.

Although she's the best at many things, and also at nagging as the culture of women is, yet she's the best woman made for me, a very meek ijebu damsel, omo orisa-gamu-ewa.

I can't quantify the blessings that this beautiful woman brought to my life. I know the ancestors have the best in store for you too, God willing. I oft take you for a married man LOL.

Thanks for the oriki olofa mojo, omo olalomi omo ijakan ijakan ti won nja lofa, osoju ebe o soju poro. I'm happy for you, Olola metaphysical. Our joy shall be full.

As to the question on ade are, all I can say is that all the answers are never in one place, so one must just wait for the fullness of time.

Absolutely LOL, now I'm a subject of his imperial majesty the awujale by marriage. Im also of Akarigbo. One good thing is I'm fully back into yoruba genepool by marriage: my mix heritage had been my greatest education, cause I think natural education is greatest education compared to curricular education.

Now I'm back to homeland where it all began as you the wise one had said, I'm back to my canaanland, among my own brethren of thousand yards and years, the sealords of old.

Do you know itire often strikes me as tyre, and that Odo Jupa reminds me of Joppa: these are landmark places at Ado Odo sha which I believe will interest you. Whoever named such places what they were called is familiar with the meditarenian coasts.

The phoenicians (awon ara ilisan?) came this far. Of course many people want to hear philistine before they remember phoenicians if they can strike a balance between bible record and secular history, just as they want to hear filician in ilisan to strike a balance.

But the good thing of history is that the ancestors were not trying to pronounce english words, by perfect rules of diction. Rather, they were giving us hints or components of history enshrined in place names as when you share Trade Secret with a friend.

It is clear to me now that the world did not become a global village yesterday, it has always been to the explorers, but I know some peoples knowledge of the world is limited to known history on the pages of some book that can't be explore on the shores of reality.

Em...
Orisa gun amu ewa is never Ijebu but originates from Iremo in Ile-Ife.

Read about the history of Idanre and you'll see that the Are crown in Ile-Ife is a replica as a son of Oduduwa took the original and some other of his dad's royal regalia with him to Idanre. Are is also the name of Olodumare. So, does the crown belong to Oduduwa or to Are? Did Oduduwa wear it only on the Olojo day or was it his official crown?

Isn't Edan = Obalufon-Moremi?

Once upon a time,Oba Ajaka acquired a slave named Oluwo at a time his wife wss barren. She was to be execited (I've forgotten why), met a babalawo by chance as the d-day approached. She would later sleep one night on her mistress' bed at her upon being ordered to do so by the mistress for reasons I've forgotten but not to set up Ajaka. As fate would have it, he came into the room to sleep with his wife but it was dark and he didn't know that was Oluwo who kept quiet as she was confused. She conceived, became "free" and a queen, and bore a prince. She wss so grateful to Ifa that she insisted she must tefa, and thus became the first woman to tefa. I suspect strongly that this child was Obalufon 1 and was a step-brother of Oranmiyan from whom he fled and then returned as Obalufon 2.
