Are Nigerian Lawyers the one spoiling this country? Or is it indeed the Politicians? Those are my conclusion nowadays especially with the way nigerian politics is being practised. The rule of law itself is subject to different interpretations by lawyers, to suit their purpose. The rave of impeachment that has swept through our politics are all engineered by lawyers, carry out by lawyers advice and ended up in a law court where lawyers take the centre stage. Has anyone noticed nowadays that most oppossition to OBJ rule are always first from the lawyers. The attorney General of the Federation is also not spared, especially with any interpretation of any court judgment, he is always at receiving end, if his interpretation does not go down well with their expectations. The AG is actually doing his job, looking at loopholes to suit his employer or his boss, even though lawyers had been known to interpret constitution or judgment to their favour.
As far as I am concerned, lawyers are the one spoiling this country, they drafted the constitution, they expect the constitution to suit them in their legal suit by interpreting it to suit their purpose. Have I said what is in your mind?
