I know everyone might say, plantain chips IS everywhere but in the real sense it is not.99% of plantain chips in Nigeria lacks good packaging and branding and that is why it can't be sold in the super market.how does it makes you feel when u know that ShopRite and other giant shops can stock your product. Agro processing IS the way to go bro.you can also chip in your own ideas

Just go on with your opinion as long as you have the interest.Anything under FMCG is having sky as limit if your branding and product is good and hygienic. My own is that just consult professional about it to bridge the problem of NAFDAC , marketing and market penetration and acceptability

Please buy a #50 worth plantain chips, eat it and look up d address then pay a visit. Please make sure u hang around long enough to ask lots of questions from people around and workers.If possible pay more visits and to more plantain chip factory

BE A FARMER HAVING YOUR FARM DIRECTLY AT THE BACKYARD OF YOUR OFFICE
Obviously, in Nigeria today, agriculture is the next area where you can make more than enough money for investment and wealth directly at the backyard of your office.
Ogun state is really the backyard of Lagos state. Therefore, in Ogun state presently, you can get more than enough LAND to buy for farming at N250,0000/Acre or for building Houses, Hotels, Estates, e.t.c. at N500,000/Acre.
Farming which is the most essential part or aspect of agriculture will be advisably and encourageably talked about, because without farming, there must be a famine. Also the research for the last one year reveals that, all local farmers made a lot of money
Farming involves buying of a LAND for yourself which is advisable at a very cheap price like N250,000/Acre{6 plots of land} or getting the LAND through leasing like N10,000/Acre for a year which is renewable. The maturity date is 9 months. In a year after the maturity date, it could be harvested two times. A stand could produce at least 2 bunches and 1 bunch is sold @ N700.
Therefore, N700x2 =N1,400 for 2 bunches.
And N1,400x 1,000 stands = N1,400,000.
Also, one stand can produce 4 suckers round itself which could be sold @ N100 each in the same one year.
Therefore, N100x4 = N400 for 4 suckers.
And N400x1,000 stands = N400,000
So, the total output for one year after maturity date = N1,400,000+N400,000 = N1,800,000
The most beautiful and achievable thing in planting plantain is that, the production of the 1st year can double that of the 2nd year. Therefore, you can easily get double of your output for the 1st year in the 2nd year, and it continues like that. Also it is a permanent investment.

It also depend on the scale of your production.My location for now(plateau state) has abundance of potatoes and I want to take advantage of that. Funny enough I have not really seen potatoes chips here.

its my sister that has a factory in akwa ibom .But I wz with them during my service yr, so I had a first hand experience of their production. They sale in bags that contain 50pack for 100naira each at 4000naira to supermarkets and co .your target should be at that rate so as to meet up.if you target just schools, don't knw hw you wld be meeting up...you would also need a vehicle for distribution. But you can start with your immediate environment
