BREAKING: EFCC Boss Magu Risks Jail Term For Contempt Of Court by boman2014: 5:07pm On Dec 17, 2016
Daily Trust is reporting that acting chairman of the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, risk being
jailed for disobeying court orders.

This was according to a notice by a magistrate court in Mpapa, Abuja, stating a committal action against anti-graft agency boss.

The EFCC, Magistrate Okeagu Azubuike stated, had failed to comply with an order of court discharging an expired remand
warrant for a defendant identified as Na'im Lawal on December and therefore endorsed form 48, 'Notice of Consequences of Disobedience to Order of Court' against the EFCC acting chairman.

The accused was nabbed by the anti-corruption agency on October 14, 2016 after allegedly conspiring to steal government money and obtaining money under false pretence but the court has ruled in his favour.

"Take Notice that unless you obey the order of court contained in the ruling of the court discharging the expired remand warrant issued by the Honourable Court and ordering the release of the applicant to his freedom on the 1st of December, 2016, you will be guilty of contempt of court and will be liable to committal to prison," the notice read.

Recall that on Thursday, December 15, the Nigerian Senate refused to confirm the appointment of Magu as the chairman of the anti-graft body.

Reports indicated that the upper chamber of the National Assembly rejected President Muhammadu Buhari's nomination based on the security report sent by the Department of State Service (DSS).

Even though this News has nothing to do with MMM and I am not a participant of MMM, but I have something to say...

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA SHOULD STOP OPPOSING MMM BECAUSE NIGERIA AS A COUNTRY IS ALSO A PONZI SCHEME WHERE NEW POLITICIANS KEEP ENTERING THE SYSTEM AND THE OLD ONES REFUSE TO LEAVE, THEREBY CONTINOUSLY CRASHING THE NATION.EVEN AS I WRITE, WE ARE IN A RECESSION BECAUSE OF THIS.ONLY COUNTRIES WITH GOOD GOVERNANCE AND LESS CORRUPT LEADERS,HAVE THE RIGHT TO OPPOSE MMM SCHEME.

It is not just the EFCC. The DSS has well has made it a habit to wantonly disobey court orders especially in this Buhari regime.

I can't count how many judges have ordered that the DSS and the EFCC release accused persons from custody but they still disobey those orders with the tacit approval of the president. We have a vice president who is a senior advocate yet the government's agencies act like they are above the law.

It got so bad that some accused persons have resorted to going to the ECOWAS court to force the Nigerian govt to release them.

I hope the judge in this case will be bold enough to make an order for Magu's arrest.
