In some parts of Anambra especially where i came from, eating of python is strictly prohibited. I know some strangers that are in these communities eat it but usually do it in hiding. Python is regarded as a scared animal in my community. Don't know the community the writer is describing.

op I doubt dis ur story. I served in idemili south(awka etiti) and yes there r a lot of pythons there....

but u wont dare kill it talk more of dissecting it to eat.

Snakes are sacred in Idemilli, but not in Anambra as a whole. And there is a particular breed of python they deem sacred.
The event took place in Igbariam, if you know Anambra well as you seem to point out, then you'll know not all Anambra hold pythons sacred

Pythons are not killed in Anaocha area. There are at least two huge pythons in my father's compound and they are completely harmless. Vipers and other venomous snakes are killed though.

Can't you see it's not dead? He tied the mouth and you clearly see him holding it by its neck... Do you see blood anywhere? Nigerians like asking stupid questions when the answer is just in front of them. Pay close attention nwanna!
