OK.. my uncle has completed his house and he is of the opinion that he needs a solar panel system while I am telling him to discard the idea since I feel they won't last long and can only work on limited usage

the house in question is in lokoja, a duplex with 5 bedroom and a palour , he has an AC in all rooms with a deep freezer and a fridge in the house , and two plasma TVs , one in the palour and the other in the master bed room and two desktops.

my question is with this sort of appliances would it be possible to run a 247 solar panel system, what sort of inverter would be required and most important the cost of running this.

pls he sees me as the soji guy in the family and needs my advice but left for me a good generators would cover all these, something like a micano gen,

if there are other disadvantages pls state them too

Ofcause there are system that can even powered more than those load that you have stated. But because of the cost and few more factors we always advice client to powered their most important appliances only On Inverter/Solar this is achieved by carrying out proper load segmentation. Like you have in this case, My suggestions are;
1. Let he do a 5kva installation. To powered all the lights, fans, TV, Water Pumping machine, fridge & Deep freezer.

Or
2. He can decide to do a 10kva, system that would add two air conditioning unit to the above stated load.

Most importantly if he wants to have peace of mind regarding power supply let him go for solar and every others Power sources, like Generator set or PHCN could be there to support.

On a more serious note he should not give the installation to any how person. That is the problem we are facing in the industry now.

In summary let him go for solar, he will so much enjoy it in Kogi.

Best of luck
