In 1984, Nigerians queued under the sun to receive 'essential commodities' like rice, salt, sugar, milk, beans to feed their families. These were items they could ordinarily afford before the coming to power of Buhari. In less than 10 months he reduced a once prosperous economy to one of recession.

In 2015,you think Nigerians would learn from history, no they wouldnt. They were blinded by tribal and religious bigotry,the rest were fooled by baseless campaign promises like N1=$1, stabilizing the international price of crude, feeding every school child in the whole nation, paying N5k monthly to every unemployed nigerian, paying an emolument to the poorest nigerians etc.
Today,they had gone to vote the same man who last sank this nation into recession and in less than 10 months has sank the third fastest growing economy in the world into a recession. Today,like it was in 1985, nigerians are once again queueing to purchase a commodity to feed their homes.

Before Buhari came in on may 29,2015, a bag of 50kg rice was sold for N9,000 during yuletide for foreign and less than N9k for local and then under him,thru his draconian,non humane policies,it goes up to N18,000 and some states initiative gives us rice at N12,000 for local and you want us to commend buhari?

If he wants us to commend him for 'cheap rice', he should get foreign rice to less than N9k a bag(for foreign) he met it and local rice to probably N7k.

i have gone through you previous topics and i have realized one thing. U suck big time. Your busy criticizing everything about the government. when last have you criticized yourself?? what have you done for your nation lately?? Buhari banned importation of rice so we can produce ours, you still complain cos am sure you are one of those bloody self centered people that dont want change. You want Nigeria to be better but you dont wana make any sacrifice, its like a student aiming for a First class degree, but he doesn't read or learn anything.. Like i keep saying if you aint bringing anything to the table pertaining to the development of Naija and all you do is rant on Nairaland, quit talking, shut tha fvck up.

Sadly, OP was living in the past when he/she could get a bag of rice for 8k without queuing like this; and this was just less than 2 years ago.
If this is what CHANGE is all about, this is a sour and pathetic one, there is nothing to be proud of here. We can only pray this Govt wakes up to the reality and works for our good.
Imagine Buhari saying he was happy Nigerians get 'Cheap rice' in recession. Which is cheaper, N8k before CHANGE or N12-N17k after CHANGE?
