Modem. If you can talk to all these network engineers in computer village they can help you. if you are using a mifi you'll need an adapter.

MTN is a monster for me. Very fast! I use Etisalat too but MTN is better around Allen Ikeja.

In my area Glo is scorchingly fast but in my friend's part of the estate you can't even get a decent 2g connection.

Currently using Ntel 4G Unlimited monthly service, but the network strength is basically useless where I am....have to more or less hang by the window to get any glimmer of their network.
So I need to switch.

Any suggestions?

Just walk into any MTN office and ask for a SIM upgrade to 4G.
They will do a SIM swap and you will still retain your old number. Your data and airtime will still be as it was on the old SIM. It's just that the contacts on the old SIM will remain on that old SIM so you will have to resave them to your new sim manually.

If is not smile forget it the rest 4G are slow. Write me if u need one

For Etisalat you don't need a 4g sim swap for all their Sims are 4g enabled.

I'm yet to experience Ntel, I bought the sim since early October and the lady didn't register my line even after taking all my details. I visited their office later to rectify the problem but they said she was on leave and that it was only her that can register my line since she sold it to me. I've called and called but to no avail. She has even stopped picking my calls or replying to my chats. The worse is that she would pass by my office to go register new customers but won't come. She doesn't care because I've paid and I've already added to her customer base.
I'm only hoping the government could legalize the possession of arms so I can make out time and come to their office and shoot her right in the head.

From my research, my phone does not support Glo cos of their annoying band 28, so I'm left with Mtn and Etisalat options.
Since you say Etisalat works well here, that means I'll try them out first.

Airtel is not good everywhere o. I live in Ajao Estate, along Airport road and to use Airtel to make or receive a call, you have to go round all the windows in your apartment to see where the signal is good. As for data, Airtel and Glo are very weak. Only Etisalat, MTN and WiFi networks (Smile, Spectranet, Swift etc) are very good in this area. I went to see a cousin in OPIC, Agbara and I was surprised to see that even inside toilet, the Signal of.Airtel is always full.

i want to believe the 4G networks run on almost the same speed so i would advise you consider the following.

1. coverage: Ensure the strength of coverage of the 4G network in your comfort zone i.e Home, Office or there you hang out.
2. consider the price: consider a data plan at a much affordable price.
