Chapter 1

This is a fictional and political based thriller.

Al Bouti was located in the Sahara of Africa. It was 90% Islam and 10% Christianity. It was still regarded as a secular nation. Al Bouti had been plagued by wars and several civilian governments had been overthrown by the military men. The people had rebelled so many times but it seemed that any Al Boutian who found his or herself in power always changed. The people were always forgotten.
The last military government headed by Major General Juzaru made a resolution. Since democracy had failed in Al Bouti maybe it was time for the whole country to go back to its pre-colonial system of government which was- Monarchial system of government. Many Al Boutians protested but Juzaru who knew how to manipulate things calmed the storm through bribery and threats. The Juzaru led governmet initiated an election whereby the people chose who was to be their next King. Juzaru contested but found a strong opposition in a man called Mustapha.
Juzaru eventually won but was assassinated alongside with his whole family on the eve of his inauguration. Mustapha was chosen as the next king.

Riding through the plains of the Mataru desert was a skilled rider. His dressing portrayed wealth and royalty. His horse was beautifully decorated. It could feed a whole street. It was a black stallion which had energetic and powerful legs which sunk into and came out of the sand as it ran along the desert.

The rider rode towards the city as skyscrapers were becoming visible. He was entering Kuzzari, the capital of Al Bouti. As he was entering the city, four black SUVs were now seen following the rider. The rider did not stop until he got to a very big mansion or rather- palace.

The rider was Prince Bala, the prince of Al Bouti and the son of King Mustapha. He was nineteen years of age and all the chancellors (body of advisers to the king) regarded him as a suitable prince to be the next king.

"Bala my son, your father has warned you countless times from riding outside the city" said a woman who was obviously his mother and the queen as Prince Bala came down from his horse. "Mother do not worry about my trips after all I have my security details" replied the Prince. "C'mon let's go see Father" he continued as he gently dragged his mother into the inner parts of the palace.

King Mustapha was loved by the citizens of Al Bouti. He was feared by his enemies and was a highly respected figure among the Arabian countries. He appointed his most trusted man, Guza as the High Chancellor. Guza was the second in command and was formerly a military man who served under Juzaru. He was mostly respected on the streets where he was a mafia. He had succeded in ousting the most respected street boss in Al Bouti within three years. His name was Faizer. That earned him the respect he had from the streets.

Days turned into months and months turned into years. King Mustapha became older. Thus, his opponents began to work on his every weakness. The only problem he had was that they were faceless. He did not know who they were. King Mustapha became restless and entrusted only Guza into catching these criminals. Guza went to work.

"Voom Voom Voom Vooooooommmmm" Prince Bala sped with his white Ferrari California along the Juzaru Highway Bridge. He had earlier escaped the watchful eyes of his security details from the palace. As he sped along the road he noticed that uniformed soldiers were seen stationed on every major road. "Do they know I escaped and they are all looking for me?" he asked himself. "No, I don't think so. It would be men in suit looking for me" he later convinced himself. As he rode on, the digital and electronic billboards all of sudden changed from displaying various adverts to a video of Guza saying a coup d'etat had taken place in the country and King Mustapha and all his allies had been killed and overthrown. He then added "I Guzatama Mouhti is now declared the military president of Al Bouti and my first decree is that Bala who was once the Prince has been declared wanted". After this martial music was played.

Immediately, Bala made a U-turn before any one saw him but it was too late as a soldier had seen him and alerted the others. They gave Bala the chase of his life. He was driving a Ferrari which was faster than the soldiers black mini van but the problem was that more soldiers were dispatched to chase him.

The chase continued for about fifteen minutes until Bala got unto the middle of the Trans Cable bridge which was over the the North Atlantic Ocean. The soldiers had were both in front and at the back of him. Bala stopped for a minute then came out of the Ferrari. Tons of soldiers came out, made a formation and then aimed their guns at him. Bala placed his hands on his heads and slowly the soldiers advanced towards him. Then, suddenly he quickly ran to the edge of the bridge and jumped into the ocean but he had been shot.
