I know the couple, the second version of the story was what I heard. RIP

I know the couple too. A lot of controversy surrounds their death, the man in question is a chronic womanizer. Let me stop here.

The only country in the world where generator fume kills people.

Isn't Nigeria a great country?
what are you saying?
Should everything be about Nigeria because you are a citizen?
Take a British citizen and subject him or her to the fumes and see wat will happen. Its just carelessness

The second version does not make any sense though, had it been it was the wife or the husband or the girlfriend that ended up dead; then the second version would have carried some weight.

To be given some credence, it will be okay to assume that, the second version is leaving out some vital details e.g. the husband left the girlfriend and want to straighten up things with his wife and the girlfriend acted against both of them, otherwise she will not have any motive to hurt the man.

Please, is having a generator 15 feet away from the window outside a bedroom safe?
if it's outside and the smoke is not entering your house it is safe. Just don't let the smoke to be entering your room.

''Environmental Health'' Officer!!!

this is insult to that profession on quote, and to their colleagues in practice.

Environmental Health is the control of all those physical, chemical or biological factors on man's environment which has or may induce deleterious effect on his life and survival.

now this man campaign for this but fall short of it...

The diseased are My Neighbors at Oriaku street in Aba. That's not what happened to them. Generator smoke did not kill them. They were strangle by their abductors to death. Which was planned by the woman her husband was having affair with . I really pity their Children, Because they are still very young to be orphans. RIP to them. I still use to feel shocked about their death , because they woman and her husband were very much healthy last I saw them Before their death.

People are yet to realize and take heed to the dangers of generator fumes.

Everybody should start going green immidiately, it is costly but you will enjoy it. I have been enjoying green energy for the past 2yrs...it is really sweet

If the report is true then the couple were killed by Carbon Monoxide poisoning. It's a very toxic gas that can kill or seriously harm you if inhaled.
Unfortunately thousands of people are killed every year all over the world from this.
It is a colourless and odourless byproduct of incomplete combustion. Which makes it deadly as it strikes without any pre warnings. What you should look out for is symptoms of "CO" (Carbon Monoxide) poisoning whenever you are using any appliances that uses combustion and has emissions. This includes your Gas cooker. Generator. Gas Boiler. Even your car or motorcycle if used within a closed space with poor ventilation.
The symptoms to watch out for when using any of the above is headaches, stomach pains, weakness, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, blurry vision, fainting.
If you feel any of the above. Immediately distance yourself from the appliance and ventilate the area. Mild poisoning usually doesn't need medication but the appliance should be checked for faults. If you however were to sleep in the vicinity of a faulty appliance that is leaking Carbon Monoxide that may be your last sleep. Stay safe and spread the message!

Good message from a good scientist.
