Top 5 Things To Expect In 2017 As A Nigerian. by Nobody: 8:08pm On Dec 29, 2016
being a Nigerian can be difficult and frustrating, the unnecessary stresses faced each day by individuals which range from standing in long ATM queues, rush hour times and telecommunication network disruptions amongst others, Nigeria citizens are the most enduring of all these.

the breath taking part of it is the unnecessary government policies that keep draining the energy of individuals, recently, a bill was proposed to increase the cost of network data in the country, as controversial as it may seem, the sufferings individuals go through each day since the increment in premium motor spirit pump price, which seemingly caused inflation, the terrorism attacks of different magnitudes from different directions notwithstanding, shouldn't at no cause make anyone to think of another strategically incompetent and inhuman bill that could lead to more sufferings. but guess what, this is Nigeria and anything is obtainable.

with all these that have happened in 2016, we present to you top major 5 things to expect in 2017 so as to help you plan your year very diligently.

1. dollar increment:

the price of dollar as we all know rose geometrically from 190 to 380 in just less than a year and three months, and has remained at 480 for sometime now at the black market, from analogy, don't expect dollar to come any where less than #450 =$1, this is because there has not been a strong and idealistic move by the government to curtail this act of dollar to naira inequality, may be till then.

2.pump price of PMS.

another serious economic problem of the country is the price of petrol as is usually called, the price at 145 naira to a litre currently will continue to be there, will not likely go up in 2017 but will certainly not go below that, until dangote finishes his alleged refinery under construction, there will certainly be no hope in bringing the price down.

3. unfavourable policies.

do not expect your unrealistic imagination of this government to come through, truth is what ever thing you expected of this government during election is not going to be achieved, atleast not in 2017.
good jobs, road networks, amongst others are all a figment of your own imagination. the structure of the nigeria government does not give room for all of that to happen as we are still deep rooted in nepotism and tribalism. expect harsh policies similar to the hiking of cellular data, ban on import goods and different price of dollar exchange to a selected dignitaries.

4. political battles.

nigeria political battle is about to get ugly, with unrelenting governor fayose of ekiti state and wike of rivers state, the battles will rise more and some other political fathers will join the battle soon, the fight will no longer be party but individual, more people out of fear of intimidation will join the APC. again, expect more intimidation if the immunity bill is finally passed into law.

5.
Economy boom.
come 2017, nigeria economy will rise a little, most companies will bounce back to normal, more jobs will be created and people will for a while forget about the suffering they once passed through.

As we all await 2017, the best is to be brave and hold unto courage, things are not always rosy but time will heal all scars. we all have seen and conquered all that happened in 2016, even when it gets worse, it can only get better at the end.

leave a comment about what you feel from this statistical analysis about 2017, thank you.

its mostly ideal that we pray against dollar increase again, i don't think it will be fairly survivable if it increases above 500 to 1 dollar. may God help our country.
