1) Always hear both sides of the story: Never you based your judgement of an issue by listening to one party alone. Whatever your friend (s) have told you about that guy/girl/lecturer or whosoever, my dear, I'm sorry, it's not enough to judge them. People are emotional and they tend to narrate their story to their own advantage.

2) Rumors are not always true: Yes, 85% of popular gists are not always true. No matter how popular the story, do not assume its true, verify yourself. You heard someone said one lecturer is wicked and you believed hook, line, sinker. Result would be out and that same person would do more than you with grade in the same lecturer's course and you'll know how far.

3) There is YOU: You are in the midst of a large or very big crowd and you think 'do I count? ' or you walking down a busy road with people everywhere, in a crowded bus, marketplace and something is going wrong. You may be tempted to think that someone should do something, but what about you? You think you don't exist or you're just there peradventure? The worse is when you think no one sees you. My dear, that's the devil speaking to you o cos the day you will know you are not invisible, you may not like it. Those in SUG don't have two heads bro, you might be even better and RICHER than some of them. Yes, this I know. But until you take that step, you'll never know what YOU CAN do.

4) Nothing is impossible: Seriously, no height is too high, no dream is too big, no girl is too fine, no guy is too dope. It's all your mindset. No man really is an highland, even God said it, "pursue, you shall overtake", "knock, it shall be opened". Even though in some cases, you'll need sledge hammer to knock and speed boat to pursue... the good thing is, they are all reachable!
I remember during my year2, I told myself I wanted no C in my grades, come what may, and truly it happened like magic (only sey my body tell me).

5) You are the author of your life: This one I don't really know how to explain it because if a university student do not know he/she is in charge of his/her life, I wonder how such student make grades.

6) Make friends: Not everybody really know how to make friends and even very few know how to keep friends. Some are like eagles, yes, they hardly make friends, but somehow...somehow, a tree does not make a forest. After you leave the University, you'll hardly remember what you read from those books that are so important now. It's memories of friends and events that last longer and bring the most happiness. Only if you have Einstein's kind of brain, you may want to move your bed and stove to the library.

7) Opposite sex: Yes o, love them, make them friends and be selective too. Try out relationship, IF you can. Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT be sexually discriminating in friends making. There are more than a reason why God created the opposite sex. Let it not be SEX, SEX, SEX, you can't have all the love in the world. Make friends with some for more than that.

8 ) Live your life: What is it that you want to do? Now is the time. You've got a talent? Polish it. You want good grades? chase it. You want to do something new? Try it. Somehow, when you are graduated those people telling you to face your book they would be the first to ask you 'Who are you seeing?' DO NOT LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE DICTATE OF ANYONE!! In all, live a positive life, you would never know how far the habits you develop during these 4/5 years would go with you, therefore try cultivate good habit.
