Good so first ill ask you to read Matt.26:52. When Jesus was going to be arrested, Peter drew a sword to defend Jesus. And Jesus rebuked him, healed the injured soldier and followed them peacefully.

Back to your question, the problem is your reading that verse without understanding it. You are who we speak about in Matt 13:13. Jesus is talking about him not bringing peace but truth. He is here to preach the word and will if God to lost sheep and those who believe and follow him will be rebuked and persecuted, even within their own families. That's basically what it means. People will go through hardship, will be persecuted and tortured for following him.

And you should also ask yourself this, where in the bible did Jesus ever condone violence??
