Below are the words of Pastor Adeboye which he said as a result of the new Federal Government policy which church owners feel is targeted against Christianity. Pls, let's juxtapose his words with what the Bible says and see if he is right or wrong.

His words are Culled from
http://tribuneonlineng.com/adeboye-fg-stop-meddling-church-affairs/

We have a rough idea of what the law is about.
“Some people believe that RCCG is becoming too influential and we’re going to be more influential. When you get home, tell members to join a political party.
I wonder why his church influences elections and welcomes corrupt politicians to grace the altar when he ought to be condemning them. He failed to follow the words of Christ below which clearly points that no matter how much you meddle in the affairs of the political WORLD as a believer, it will always be for Satan and his wicked kingdom.

1 John 5:19

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

John 18:36

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. IF IT WERE, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

“Join a party and become a card-carrying member of any party. Just join any party.
James 4:4

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

We shall decide issues right from the ward level.
No matter how much decision you make, as long as you go against Yahweh's words, it will still favour Satan because...

1 John 5:19

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE EVIL ONE.
“If you are not active at ward level, you’ll do what they plan and say at the top.
Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind
Enrol in any party of your choice and have a card.
Romans 12:2

DO NOT CONFORM to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
“When holding meetings at ward level to choose delegates, be there.”
Corinthians 6:14

...Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

“One Muslim in Ibadan said years ago that he didn’t know what’s wrong with Christians; that we help them to occupy political positions and refused to capitalise on our population
His failure to obey God's word is the reason why he wants Christians to do things in the manner of other religions. But what does the Bible say?

Corinthians 6:14

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

Pastor adeboye wants Christians to join political parties where they practice lying, murder, corruption and all kinds of evil. Imagine the level at which Nigeria will change if he had said that all RCCG church members should go out and preach the gospel to sinners. He cannot say such. Rather, he prefers to use them to protect his own selfish interest. The real evil doers will be exposed one day.

Its boy about being a fan or not.

Christians are being killed in their hundreds on a daily basis in southern kaduna without this so-called men of God uttering a word against. But when it came to stepping aside from their EMPIRE, they raised their voices and started going against God's word by trying to turn poor Christians into their foot soldiers who will join political parties instead of doing God's work of preaching the gospel.

Pls reason am.

Why worry ursef writing these.
We already know that.
But the truth must be tampered with in order to accommodate our personal interest.

I just love the scripture so much

In my opinion, Christian should be actively involved in politics.
We say politics is dirty and it'll corrupt us but these evil and perverted politicians make laws

That controls us:
- monitor what we do
-where we go
-what we say
-dictate how we worship God

And we say we can live in this world freely?

When real Christian are in politics, their actions will transform the system.
We cant stand by and watch evil politicians tell us what to do when we have a choice

A philosopher once said, " politics is too important a game to be left solely in the hands of politicians."

Yes, vibrant Christians should join political parties and transform the process.

The bible kicks against all your wish for Christians to go into politics.

Romans 12:2

DO NOT CONFORM to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

If you are a part of Yahshua the Messiah's Kingdom, you won't be thinking of joining APC and PDP who are both controlled by Satan himself.

John 18:36

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. IF IT WERE, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

The Bible said we shouldn't go into politics but most rulers and leaders in the Bible were men of God
David
Solomon
Samuel
Nahemiah

Or are you tell me the world in the Bible is different from this?
If you stand around and do nothing, evil people will do something... And believe me their actions may determine whether you'll make heaven or not

So when the Bible said, do not be conform, it mean don't join politics?

What that means is that whatever you do or wherever you find yourself do not let the behavior of the world determine your own actions.

If Christians are not in politics, how will the missionaries bring Christianity to Africa. Or you forgot how they came?

The way religion is being practice in Africa has so blinded Christians.

What if tomorrow the govt says we should stop preaching, who will stand up for us if we're not in politics?

Pls stop being ignorant and looking for flimsy reasons to justify selfish interest.

the names you mentioned above were directly appointed by God himself. All of that happened during the old covenant before Christ came to earth. Since Christ death, resurrection and ascension, we Christians have been told to stay of anything that has to do with this worldly governments controlled by satan. What you are saying in essence is that Christians should dump the word of God and fight their battles themselves.

You're so hilarious!

Maybe you think you are talking to some novice that doesn't know jack about the Bible

Since you want to be sarcastically insultive I'm going to be biblical with you.
God has given us the power to dominate.

When asked about the qualifications of “neighbor,” Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37), indicating that irrespective of race, background, social status or occupation, neighborly love is owed.
In a very real sense, politics is one of the most important areas in which Christians demonstrate love to neighbor. In fact, how can Christians claim to care about others and not engage the arena that most profoundly shapes basic rights and freedoms? Caring for the hungry, thirsty, naked, sick and lonely is important to Jesus and should be to His followers as well. Jesus said, “As you did it to one of the least of these you did it to me” (Matthew 25:40).
Fulfilling the biblical mandate to love neighbor and care for the “least of these” should be a priority for every believer.

Government derives its authority from God to promote good and restrain evil. This mandate is expressly stated in Romans 13:1-7. Elsewhere, Paul urges that prayers be made “for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Paul understood the need for Christian participation in government.

Pls keep quiet instead of talking about things you know nothing about.

You mean one has to be a politician before you can care for the poor, love one's neighbor etc? Do the politicians we have today, most of whom are Christians, do the stuff you listed above? Yes, they do by giving people 2 cups of rice and it's after they must have embezzled billions of money.

Pls, obey the Bible.

Don't miss interpret me. I'm not supporting Pastor Adebayo, I'm for the FRCN regulations. But that Christians should not engage in active politic, you're dead wrong.

Lemme school more

Christians, when rightly informed and motivated, change the character of political debate. They bring the moral standards of God’s kingdom into the civic realm and thereby become agents of His common grace — of His provision for those who believe as well as those who don’t.

As they enter the public square, God’s people recognize the authority of Christ’s kingdom, they bring its ethical standards into the stream of history, and — through them — Christ’s kingdom breaks the “vicious and otherwise irreversible cycles of violence, injustice, and self-interest.” As God’s people engage in debate — as they create, shape, and lead public policy — it’s evident that Christ’s kingdom has, in Augustine’s words, equipped them to be the best citizens in the kingdoms of man.

You're looking at things with the way politics is today. If true Christians had been involved earlier it won't get to this hopeless stage. But that does not mean Christian stood fold their hands and continue to be on lookers.
No, we must be participants and dictate the pace

I'll really appreciate it if your argument is more of facts rather than emotions and sentiments

it doesn't require being a fan of a pastor or not before we know or say the truth. Nature has endowed us with common sense. Go through what the guy quoted very well, the Bible made some things clear, but one of the problems of we Christian in Nigeria is that we have so much turned our pastors to our earthly God. Even if a well respected pastor is saying rubbish, we still follow.(I don't mean adeboye is saying rubbish). Tell me, what activities characterise the political sphere in Nigeria. How will a good xtain not compromise in politics, if you don't know, politics also takes place in church.. There are lots of atrocities being perpetrated in church, but your pastors cleverly cover them and use one thing or the other to shield them from you. Look at less religious country, they invest more in reality, tackle the real challenges confronting them, but here in Nigeria, all we hear is bring your tithes and offering. In my area in Lagos, there are about 40 churches alone in my stree let alone in Nigeria at large yet the country is still backward. Who has church helped, in what way has church contributed to the economic development of the country. How many of us can afford the high cost of the school. Please am not attacking you, I just want us to wake up and apply our common sense, everything is not church or pastors, we need development,
