An lgbo adage says: "ewu richa ji onye no ishi, ya erie nke onye no n'etiti"---when a goat finishes eating the yam of the person on the edge, it will start eating that of the person in the centre.

The above adage aptly illustrates what has happened to Pastor Adeboye, other General overseer pastors and the church in Nigeria.

May l send my deepest sympathy to the lnternational General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church , Worldwide Pastor Enoch Adeboye who was forced to retire against his will as the General Overseer of Church because of a new regulation known as Financial Reporting Council FRC. This is not the time to cry, it is time to fight!

After he announced his retirement, his Church quickly tried a volte face to rectify it by stating that he only retired as Nigeria General Overseer but remained lnternational General Overseer in order to circumvent the Nigerian law and make sure it does not catch him.

By becoming the lnternational General Overseer, he can be seen as the 'Overseer of the Overseers' because the Nigerian Overseer will be under him as the lnternational Overseer. This is a smart way of avoiding harsh consequences of violation of the provisions of the law.

He noted that the same regulation is also applicable to pastors like Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church Worldwide International aka Winners Chapel, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry and Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, among others who must retire and vacate their positions soon.

Invariably, he remains in charge of RCCG with the smart approach of his church and that's what l believe other pastors would do in looking for a loophole and find a way around the regulations without breaking the law.

Adeboye said the action of the Nigeria's government interfered in the administration of the church.

This, to my understanding, is true because government should not stipulate mandatory office tenure for church leaders in the country. Government has no business in Church Administration. In democracy, there is separation between the church and the state.

As a secular state, l am of the view that the Nigerian government cannot establish a religion or prohibit the free exercise thereof.

I would love the church to challenge this latest aassult in court and test it's validity.

This FRC regulation is very discriminatory and partial. It does not apply to Muslims and the administration of Mosques.

To show you that Nigeria in their thinking and practice is an lslamic nation, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar 111, being the president of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, would not be forced to retire or resign.

Why should Nigeria have a law that applies to Christians but won't apply to Muslims?

According to the provision of this law, any such head Pastor must retire at 70 years or 20 years of occupying the top position and he must not handover to a member of his family.

Expressing his anger and disappointment, Pastor Adeboye stated:
"The Muslims are using our mandates or votes to rule and make laws that affects the church "

This seems to be the first time the reality of the overbearing influence of lslam on the church and it's leadership is dawning on him.

He charged his members:

"Join a party and become a card-carrying member of any party. Just join any party. We shall decide issues right from the ward level.
“If you are not active at ward level, you’ll do what they plan and say at the top. Enrol in any party of your choice and have a card. When holding meetings at ward level to choose delegates, be there.”
“One Muslim in Ibadan said years ago that he didn’t know what’s wrong with Christians; that we help them to occupy political positions and refused to capitalise on our population. That’s going to change from now,”

I am deeply pained that Pastor Adeboye now wants a political change in the country that will favour Christians when his church gave President Buhari the platform to sneak in and deceive the Nigerian Church in voting for a man who has never hidden his disdain for Christianity.

So even with his own pastor son Yemi Osinbajo as Vice President of Nigeria and the highest ranking Christian politician in the country, he cannot make any positive impact to repeal this regulation and bring the desired Change for which Pastor Adeboye our own Daddy GO is now asking every member to prepare for 2019?

Is it not surprising that Pastor Adeboye now wants us to vote out his Pastor Osinbajo who is the vice president who in eyes must have failed even of he didn't say it?

Before asking us to prepare for change in 2019, he should apologize to us first for allowing his church to be used in projecting the Buhari candidacy.

During campaign, the President was in his Holy Ghost Night. Some accounts say he even spoke in tongues, all in the bid to hoodwink Christians in voting for him.

Buhari attended Roman Catholic Bishops Conference in Abuja where he campaigned freely. He took photographs with the leaders of the church.
Mosques and lmams didn't open the door for Jonathan.

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi has not hidden his support for Buhari. He has even predicted as he did last year that God would give Buhari the solution to Nigeria's problem in 2017. Part of that solution introduced by the president is that he must retire and vacate the office of the General Overseer of Deeper Life!

When Bridget Agbahime, 74, wife of Mike Agbahime, pastor of Deeper Life Bible Church in Kano was beheaded by lslamic fundamentalists l thought the church would take the matter up but they didnt. Her murderers had been set free and her husband is left to bear the brunt of believing in One Nigeria and being a Christian.

When Evangelist Deaconess Eunice Olawale and wife of Pastor Elisha Olawole of RCCG was stoned to death in Abuja by lslamic fanatics, everyone expected our beloved Daddy GO to make strong worded statement condemning the act and follow the matter up. He never did.

RCCG was quiet. They wouldn't want to rock the boat because their pastor is the vice president and the image of the government must be protected at all cost.

Pastor Adeboye said that a muslim wondered what was wrong with Christians that they cannot take advantage of their vast population and because he had been hit personally, he now wants that to change perhaps in 2019. Not so early Sir!

These clergy should vacate their offices for another to take as they cannot be law breakers.

That these men did not see this type of quiet lslamic control of the church happening is a huge surprise to me.

This regulation could not have been possible under President Jonathan. But if it was for whatever reason enacted, a phone call from any or all of these men mentioned to Jonathan would have ensured that it was repealed.
Who who can talk to Buhari about Christians and the church? You no dey fear?

And our own Vice President Pastor Osinbajo cannot be seen nor heard!

How many of these Pastors, General Overseers and Bishops have had the moral courage to publicly criticize and condemn the ongoing genocide in Southern Kaduna which had claimed almost 1,000 lives and destroyed churches and leveled 53 villages?

May be they were waiting for Buhari to condemn it and when he didn't, they decided to be quiet.

It is obvious that Nigerian Christians and their leaders do not understand the serious danger posed by Buhari's brand of lslam. Christianity is confronted with the growing threat of radical lslam in various forms with her leaders looking elsewhere.

I have been crying myself hoarse over the dangerous and complicit silence of the leaders of the church in Nigeria in the face of persecution and murder of thousands of Christians under Buhari in the past 2 years.

It started with ordinary Christians, now the government has turned attention on the leaders and they are crying.
The goat has eaten the yam of the person at the extreme and now the person at the middle must suffer the same fate.

This is just the beginning. This evil will go round. It will affect the big and small.

Pastor Martin Niemöller words capture the situation :
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

What the Nigerian Church needs desperately at a time like this is a leader with the spirit of Pa ldahosa, the no-nonsense pastor with great Apostolic Christian faith who could poke his fingers into the eyes of the government and get away.

A man who could make real prophetic decree with unequaled boldness and pass a sentence that would come to pass to the fear and shock of the enemies of Christianity.
A man who took the apostolic and pentecostal movement to the next level in Africa and dared the powers that be.
O, that one man may rise in spirit and power of Benson ldahosa to fight and win without the arms of the flesh!

I stopped reading at the above, it shows you didn't avail yourself of the facts of this FRC issue before you start typing.
