The line between the church and the world is fast fading out. Righteous standard is being compromised and sacrificed on the altar of civilization and sophistication. You can be civilized and righteous without compromise. In Matt 28:18-19, Jesus commanded the church to go into the world for the purpose of invading the dark regions of the earth with the glorious light of the gospel. He wants us to go out there and influence the world for the kingdom, setting godly standards everywhere, but what are we seeing now? The world is infiltrating and influencing the church so much that the church is now borrowing worldly ideas to function; offering strange fire everywhere. These days, different strange ideas are being imported to Zion and people do not want to stand for what is right anymore, but what is popular. Our values and standards must be governed by the Bible.

There is a scenario in the Bible where the congregation of Israel had drifted into a backslidden position. In Number 25:1-12, the situation became so degenerated that while God was still angry with the whole congregation a man had the effrontery to bring a woman to the camp to commit sexual immorality without any sense of shame. In the midst of that decadence, God was able to find a man called Phineas, who was jealous enough for the glory of God that he rose up and speared the evil duo to death right there even in the very act. God was appeased that he commended his zeal and gave him a covenant of peace. Where are the Phineases of our day? Who will rise up and confront the corruption and moral decadence with superior force of righteousness? I am not asking you to kill, but you can choose to be different in that decayed environment you find yourself, be it office, school, etc. You are called to stand and maintain godly standard in every sphere of life that you find yourself.

Somebody has got to rise up and speak out. You can dare to be different and let people know your stand. You don’t have to blend with any evil company or system for any reason. Come out of them and be ye separate… is what God said in 2 Cor. 6:17. Who says you cannot be the only Micaiah in the midst of 400 false prophets? 2 Chr. 18:1-27. Remember God is seeking for those that will be jealous enough for his glory and standard. Those that will choose to stand straight in this crooked world and stay pure in a perverted system. May the Lord find you faithful.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive your grace to be a voice of righteousness for you in my (...mention your own area of influence). I pray you will find me as your worthy ambassador every time in Jesus’ name. Amen.
