Muslims claim that Allah is the Arabic word for God.

In their confession of faith, we find a confusion. The confession goes thus "there is no God but Allah..."

If you ask a muslim about how you can become a muslim, he tells you that you must say that confession of faith above. At that point, he asks you to repeat after him '' there is no god but allah...''.

Now, if allah means god, then the statement will be ''there is no God but God''. That makes no sense. If you decide to say it in that manner, he will stop you and tell you to say it the way he does, which is ''there is no god but allah''.

That alone shows you that allah is not the arabic word for god. It is simply the name of a god- allah.

So, in essence, Muslims are telling you to say that ''there is no god but allah'', meaning there is no YAHWEH but allah. This is blasphemy.

It is so sad that that is what seun wants us to do before we can place a comment on any islamic thread on nairaland.

So you do not know the difference between 'god' and 'God'.. Stop confusing yourself..

The Kalma is "there is no god but Allah" or "there is no god except Allah"
