There are lots of waterfalls in Nigeria that everyone should visit. Nature can be magical and amazing when you connect with it. As water gushes down the fall, we feel this sense of joy, magical feeling, spark, and lots more (depending on what you qualify the feeling with) and these all in appreciation of nature.

1. Erin Ijesha Waterfall

Erin Ijesha Waterfall, also known as Olumirin Waterfall which denotes “another deity” is located in Erin Ijesha town of Osun State. The waterfall is an assemblage of seven unique levels, with water flowing among the rocks which then plummet down to the base with a great force and attracts thousands visitors annually.

2. Awhum Waterfalls
Located at Amaugwe village of Awhum town in Udi Local Government Area along the Enugu-9th Mile expressway and about 30 minutes drive from Enugu State in eastern Nigeria, Awhum waterfall is as a result of massive outcrop of granite rock with water cascading over the top forming a stream. The water is said to be curative (have healing power) and capable of dispelling evil or satanic forces if and wherever sprinkled.

3. Agbokim Waterfall
Agbokim Waterfalls is a product of seven streams cascading over a steep cliff and descending through the beautiful tropical rainforest. It is located about 315km from Calabar, Cross- River State, and is about 17km from Ikom, Etung L.G.A of the State. This is one getaway location you should go to regain creativity and productivity.

4. Gurara WaterFalls
The Gurara Waterfalls is one of the famous tourist sites in Nigeria. Situated in Bonu village in Gurara local government area of Niger State, about 69km from Abuja, the nation’s capital, the waterfall spans about 300 meters across and drops 50 meters below. The site receives thousands of visitors from around the world who visit the recreational area to swim, have picnics, amongst others.

5. Farin Ruwa Waterfalls
It is about 120 kilometres away from Lafia, the capital city of Nasarawa State, 30 kilometres away from Wamba, the local government headquarters and about 160 kilometres from Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital. “Farin Ruwa” means “White waters” in Hausa. It is at the boundary of Bokkos LGA in Plateau State and Wamba LGA of Nassarawa State of Nigeria. The waterfall flows from a 150-metre high cliff and presents a fascinating grandeur of natural beauty that enchants all visitors to this area.
