Daddy James Olaleye shared this story with me some years ago. It floated into my mind this evening and I decided to share.
There was this Baaaaaad Guy in the neighborhood that everybody dreaded. Nobody dared look him in the face. But their was this Christian Brother that made up his mind to win Citizen Baaaaaad Guy to Christ.
Everyday Brother Christian preached, gave tracts and prayed for Citizen baaaaaad guy without any positive response.
One day Brother Christian visited citizen Baaaaaad Guy at home. He knocked on his door once, twice, thrice but no answer. So he walked in. Citizen Baaaaaad was so infuriated about this that he reached for the pot of beans at the corner of the room and slammed it on brother Christian's head spilling the cooked beans in the process.
Brother Christian walked out of that room weeping. When people heard it, they became more scared of Citizen Baaaaaad Guy.
Two weeks later Brother Christian visited Citizen Baaaaaad Guy at home. This time around he brought a package with him.
In anger Citizen Baaaaaad guy asked him, "What do you want again?
"I've not recovered from what happened two weeks ago" responded Brother Christian.
"Serves you right" snickered Citizen Baaaaaad.
"I don't know if your pot got damaged that day, so I bought you a new pot. I also bought you two mudu of beans because I knew you spilled the beans. I also bought a bottle of Palm oil and other condiments because because I know I must have made you waste your pot of beans" Brother Christian replied.
When Citizen Baaaaaad Guy heard this, he collapsed to his knees and started weeping. He haven't witnessed that kind of love before. He asked for forgiveness and turned his life to Christ.
That was how Brother Christian saved a soul.
