Well, that was very thoughtful of that person. Truly, if some of us have the resources we'll do much more for the Ijaw communities.

The last time I was home, I felt so bad but I was sadder when I realise that there was virtually little or nothing to be done by me as an individual.

One powerful tool at our disposal is the instrument of advocacy, calling for right to be done including policies from government at all levels.

We need a system that will outlive and put check to any government of the day.

May God Help Us!
right now I don't care about govt,I think it is the individuals that can make things happen,I wish there can be a shadow govt in the region that can take care of the needs of niger deltans, what I saw yesterday made me change my mentality over night,I'm now poised to add something to my village.
Have come to realise that if the rural communities can be more developed than the cities then the govt will wake to their responsibility.
Abeg, you an I jaw person, you guys need a lot of work to do.....push your leaders and elite to do more.

Whynotthetruth:

Wonderful...

1)I support fiscal federalism 1000%

2)LNC was brought here by barcanista IMMEDIATELY Buhari won election as SECESSIONIST option.

3)IPOB came and because he wasn't recognized or was their any financial gain for him there...he declared war on them...when he felled, he tendered apology to them PUBLICLY...When APC coarsed him again, he started fighting them again ...

4)Why is he denting others image to market his stomach irrespective of relationship
yes fiscal federalism will end the nonsense we are practicing now, that will make us focus on our leaders squarely.

He was wrong to have brought that issue because Niger deltans have a lot on their mind than thinking of succeeding.......
The iPod agitation is their right, everyone should respect that.

Boss, I can tell you 100% that government policy is very instrumental to development of any region and community. Any unfavorable policy will make the job of interventionists and philanthropists to be very difficult that what it should ordinarily be.

On my part, I am 100% loyal to the Ijaw and Niger Delta agenda! We have suffered enough

yes govt policy is instrumental to development but right now we don't have a single policy not to talk about unfavourable, a man like Dangote can bend his state gov to make policies favourable fr both his Biz and the people of that state,in world today the elites rule, the govs and Presidents only do their bidding.
In Nigeria the elites have the power to make the govt bring favourable policies but they are as bad as the govt......the elites are people like me and you but the only difference is they are powerful and wealthy....
Only the wealthy and sensible individuals can make these things happen, those in govt are just hungry.....

Prices are up everywhere. Inflation is killing the country, all time high at almost 18%
Foreign direct investment dropped to ten year all time low
No light either.

Girls are prostituting to survive
Our men have turned to beggars and armed robbers to survive.

Lol...

Patriotism to the country must always take preeminence, which is lacking among citizens.

As for being a saint/sinner, I never loot any money, I never support any criminal undergoing trial, I never supported arsonists and terrorists irrespective of the circumstances, and I have taken lots of hard decisions.

Politically, I'm yet to soil my hands! I'm still a saint cheesy
My definition of not being a saint is not in corruption or whatsoever but your up and down things, today you are for PDP, tomorrow you are for KOWA
People sef no too dey take you serious.

TonyeBarcanista:
The salvation rally was not primarily against GEJ but for APC as a party and her aspirants.

Political parties and groups do rallies to draw support for their cause. TAN held rallies for GEJ and NOT protests, PDP held political rallies to draw support for PDP and not protest for(makes no sense) PDP.

Though a pro-APC rally has an indirect effect on the other group, it still doesn't qualify as calling against the other group.

When GTB places advert for GTB, it doesn't qualify to be anti-Diamond Bank ad despite the fact that the decision to bank with GTB will have indirect effect on Diamond Bank.

And check the caption of the pix, it is termed APC Rally not anti GEJ Protest.

Upon your writing skills and education you still can't differentiate or know the the similarities between RALLY & PROTEST.....

your parents wasted there money on you...

As long as it is not corruption then I'm cool.

Association with any group is my right and prerogative, it is guaranteed and protected in the constitution of Nigeria and other charters. So blame me not when I exercise it.

When making comparison, it is important that you pay attention to details Sir!

PROTEST:
[noun proh-test; verb pr uh- test , proh -test]
noun
an expression or declaration of objection, disapproval, or dissent, often in opposition to something a person is powerless to prevent or avoid:
a protest against increased taxation
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/protest

Meaning, protest is usually Anti-policy or anti-government, while rally is usually pro-cause.

You may say that protests are the negative side of the rally coin, but you can't call rallies to be protests.

Thank you
It's like you missed the part where it is alleged that PDP had hijacked the security apparatus of the country, and that the march is to bring salvation.
My question now is, are they marching to cheer themselves or against the PDP which makes it a protest?
both terms are the same, it's just contextual meaning that makes them appear different

# We are no longer asking President Buhari to develop Nigeria.
At this point, we are only asking him to return Nigeria to the state it was before he (Buhari) became President on May 29, 2015.
*Return our dear Naira to 170 per Dollar
*Return our bag of rice to N7,500
*Return our bankers to their jobs
*Return the over 400 multinational companies that relocated out of this country back to Nigeria.
*Return the thousands of Nigerians you made jobless back to their respective jobs.
*Return our economy to the fastest growing economy in Africa.
*Return Dangote back to his position as the richest man in Afirca.
*Return our only indigenous car manufacturing company, INNOSON Motors, back to production.
*Return free, fair and credible elections.
Pls Your Excellency, President Mohammadu Buhari, forget about adding anything new, just do these and we will ask for no more.
