Please what is the importance of burying a snake's head after killing it?

the reason is because snakes phangs don't die or decay and u know how poisonous the phangs are, so if someone accidentally steps on it bare footed, it could result to serious injuries. a young boy once stepped on it and his leg was almost amputated because the family didn't know the actual cause initially....this is true life story.
