Foolishness is giving over 90% of your votes to someone who did not construct one major road in your region.

Greater foolishness is now condemning the one who is constructing seven roads just because you don't like him.

Tell them. I see correlation between IPOB mentality, MMM mentality, mainstream Nairaland mentality and lately Tuface mentality.

Good job Fash.

Can someone tell us when this contract was awarded?
Who awarded it?
Who released funds?

Etc.

These are facts we need to know so we can track our money.

Don't sit in your bedroom and expect someone to spoon-feed you. I suggest you put your questions into a letter.

Write to the Hon. Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Federal Secretariat, Abuja.

Copy the Minister of Finance, the Accountant-General's Office and the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency.

Fashola's office is legally bound to provide an answer because of the FOI Act.

Cheers.

The very same people who hate buhari and apc from the bottom of their hearts are the very ones who still hate Fashola. Fashola did well to take the offer and he is doing a good job within the limits of the resources available to him.

For power, you cannot inherit a crumbling, dead and rotten power infrastructure and expect light to immediately shine in your face especially when even your fellow Nigerians are going about sabotaging the little power infrastructure left. Stopping the saboteurs isnt within Fashola's office.

Most of the power projects that were started even since the OBJ days were abandoned due to one petty litigation or the other. These were the things Fashola started with and luckily, most of those legal disputes have now been settled and construction of those long abandoned power stations have resumed. If not for any, I know of Prof Nnaji's Geometrix plant that has since been completed but couldnt run because of some silly litigations. Thank God those litigations have now been resolved and Geometrix would begin operation in the 2nd quarter and a city like Aba would kiss darkness goodbye.

The problem in the power sector isnt something that can be fixed in a day, moreso when all our generating plants have been privatised mostly fraudulently to individuals/cronies who have no business being in the power business. Power plants are owned by private individuals but everyday the govt still has to intervene by budgeting money to pay their debts. And should Fashola/FG make any attempt now to reverse the privatisation, that would land in another 10 year long dispute.

Most Nigerians are not realistic or are not just informed or just choose to be stupid intentionally.

Our power problem is not something he can just swing a wand and it will be solve. Dams need to be built, turbines needs to be built there is infrastructure deficiency in the sector already. All this things takes time and the little we are suppose to be managing some of us are still sabotaging it and we still blame the govt for our own stupidity or agitation.

More than 60 power project were tied in court when this govt took over but today they are out of court and work can began on this project. Patience is just the key

Your suggestion is in order sir

Bro, one of these days, I'm gonna make an FOI request to Fashola's office directly. Wanna know why?

When the Freedom of Information Act came into existence Fashola was still the Gov. of Lagos. Back then, someone made an FOI request to the Lagos State Government but Fashola denied the request on the ground that it was a Federal Law and Lagos State had not domesticated it. Hence, was not binding on Lagos.

I'll like to see the way he's gonna wiggle out of this one.

When the tune of the drumming changes, so does the dance steps.
When the south east road projects were at the planning stage, they kept shouting marginalization.
Now that it is been implemented they are saying we should not give kudos till it is completed. Why not if i may ask the wailers. The government despite receiving next to no vote from the south east is doing what it suppose to do i.e even development of the whole for the benefit of all

what is the proof that this is enugu-porthacourt road? anybody I. the house that have traveled through that road today can we hear from you please. I am saying this because the "other roads"mentioned with this one that fashola is inspecting in the south east like the umuahia-owerri road and mbaise-ngwa road are all lies because I went through those roads yesterday and there was no work going on there, so based on these two I will wait till some one who have passed through Enugu ph road this week confirm and not ppl on nairaland
