He saw Nigerians from the south-south jubilating to welcome James Ibori, a convicted felon and wanted by the EFCC.

God helps those that help themselves. Do you think that the evils done by the hartless politicians will stop if we don't do something? If you must know,à many Nigerians are ready to give their lives for correction of the mess caused in Nigeria by our greedy politicians. I see the protest as non partisan and it would have been our opportunity to express our anger against both PDP and APC. Nnamdi Kanu is there in prison for a course he believes in. Many south south and south eastern part of Nigeria have offered their lives for a course they believe in and many are still earger to do so. I will prefer to die in an event like this than to be killed by hunger or fulnali herdsmen. I wiil prefer to die in a protest of such than to die in a motor accident caused by our insensitive and criminal politician. I would gladly prefer to die in a protest of such than to die as a result of ill governance. Do you think that you are richer or more educated than those who were killed by boko haram members? You should have known by now that the major cause of death in Nigeria is bad leadership. The earlier we think of having a better Nigeria for our children, the better for us.

There's no protest against militants blowing oil pipelines; there's no protest against governors who collect bailout money and refuse to pay salaries, there's no protest against the slow dispensation of justice by the courts, there's no protest to demand action on the budget padding at the National Assembly, etc. Abeg, what's the protest about? What is glaring and incontrovertible is the application of state apparatus and institutions to shut down civil protests. The freedom of which is guaranteed by the constitution. The conflicting releases by the federal police against the protest is a testament to this shame. The irony is comical.

Oppression includes a psychological complement in the victim that contributes to his subjugation. I guess when Nigerians truly get tired, they will do something about it.

Anyone who has free time should read "Psychology of the oppressed" by Frantz Fanon.
