Glo 4G Sim by Nobody: 3:01am On Feb 09, 2017
I just walked out the bank and saw a glo rep selling 4g sims
I bought 1
Later at night I subscribed 2500 for 10 FB
Since I bought the sim I never fit use 10mb not to talk of even seeing 4g sef
4g sim that is always showing e or gprs
And na iPhone I deh use ooo
Imagine
I have called and called but then no useful solution has been given me by the reps
They just keep telling me what I know over and over again
I stay in abj
My Airtel, etisalat and Mtn sims blaze at amazing speeds
I feel I just wasted my money buying and subscribing on a nonsense network
If you have a solution am open
But then I will not advise anyone to even buy a glo sim not to talk of subscribing

4G LTE on Glo network is useless to Nigerians. Only 5% of phones support it. My SIM is under my rug

You really can't activate GLO 4G sim, on the road, my advice for you is to send 4g to 400, when you are sure is a 4G sim go to their nearest office.
I had similar problem mine was bought from their office but not properly activated, those their cc knows absolutely nothing so it's waste of your valuable time calling 400

OP, before you start calling Glo, make sure you have a compatible device. What device are you using? Does it support LTE band 28?

I see some people up there already blaming Glo, when they didn't even bother to ask you some pertinent questions.

According to Apple's site no iPhone 5s variant is compatible with band 28(700mHz), the band Glo uses.

You think it's just about a phone having 4G/LTE?
Re: Glo 4G Sim by raker300: 8:23am On Feb 10, 2017
Op, I use an iPhone 6s and glo still shows 'E' on the phone.
Called customer care and they said my phone downgrades networks when it's bad.
I was like "so you're saying your network is bad"?
Long story short, I put my glo on my z10 and airtel on my iPhone..airtel steals my mb a lot but I can live with that.
Glo network is bad, short and simple. They're good only in selected choice locations and that's that

FYI: iPhone 4 upwards are 4g compatible...dont listen to anyone that says otherwise.

Ps: as am typing now, there's no glo network. It's showing "emergency calls only"

many ppl make d mistake of not ensuring that their devices support glo 4G band 28 (700mhz). Not entirely their fault as those reps in glo office are confused as well. Nonetheless it was really fast bfr but glo has been throttlin the speed of recent. I called CC and i was told it's temporary but i think it's time to try etisalat 4G.

In most places I've tried Etisalat 4G in Abuja, reception has been very terrible.

I don't think you can know if ur phone is compatible from sending a text to 400

My phone has 28band (HTC A9) , after sending a text to 400 I got a reply saying I should change my phone

Glo needs to update their list of smartphones that has 28bands

You guys don't kill yourself over Glo... Glo's network has been bad for days now.. it has nothing to do with 3G or 4G... No service generally.. my sub is wasting here too

OP you go school at all? A simple Google Search will avail you all these. You are using a phone that isn't compatible and you get mind to type trash. Next time use GSM arena.

Nobody is saying iPhones are not 4G compatible. 4G technology comes in different frequency bands.

The question is does his phone support Glo network's band 28? The answer is NO
