Beyond promoting health and safety for students within the school facility during the school day, they also encourage students to maintain healthy habits and behaviors when they are not in school.
Will be responsible for identifying both actual and potential health problems, providing case management services, and collaborating with educators, school officials, students, and families to ensure students respond positively to their environment and develop normally.

EngenderHealth is currently looking for a short-term Consultant (Trainers) for Effective Family Planning counselling and LARC Training (5 days total for effective counseling and 10 days for LARC) for its Fistula Care Plus (FC+) project in Nigeria. The consultant/trainers will work closely with the FC+ RH/FP Advisor to draft and facilitate training of health care providers on effective counseling skills and LARC.

This training is intended to strengthen the technical capacity of health care workers (doctors, midwives/nurses and CHEWs), so that they have the required knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable them to provide the required quality essential Family Planning counseling and provision of all methods including Long Action Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) services and care in order to prevent maternal mortality and morbidities such as obstetric fistula. It will also strengthen awareness and sensitization of health workers on quality FP Counseling and services, thus, enabling them to reliably assist WRA&MRA comfortably receive adequate information on all methods of Contraception and make an unbiased choice.

S/he will perform the below mentioned tasks:

· Draft and conduct pre- and post- test for participants; analyze results following the training to include in report

· Prepare a joint agenda for effective counseling on FP and LARC training with emphasis on quality of care.

· Didactics, practical demonstration and clinical supervision in clinics for proficiency. (5days)

· Access the clinical proficiency of participants

· Adapt pre-existing National curriculum on the context of the training

· Facilitate training in Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kwara and Oyo states. Share any materials and curricula used with EngenderHealth during the training.

· Draft and submit a training report as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
· Doctor/Nurse/Midwife
· A minimum of five (3) years’ experience post TOT trainer; (National Trainer) on FP
· Experience in providing trainings for Health Workers, specifically on Family Planning
· Knowledge of Nigerian context;
· Significant experience working with local and international NGOs and/or UN organizations.
