Just within this week two Federal Universities have destroyed properties.

First, FUTMinna students burn down school clinic and other valuables due to the medical negligence of nurses which led to the death of a student.

Now it is destruction in FUTO, and you call it a peaceful protest.

The best approach of combating this should be Dialogue between the SUG and the School.

The issue is, there's no justifiable reason to damage those properties, only a m0ron would think otherwise, now you are going to pay for the damages and also pay the hiked fee, just what have you achieved? A day to display your cave man attitude? I should've known.

am not paying for anything because i graduated from that school since 2012,so if are still a student,i am not.i know what we passed through and the attitude of the management is like"is it not futoites,they wont do anything"students have been suffering in silence for long,yes they will pay for the damages but the vc will surely pay for the damages that have been done to his image and his opponents in the school have scored a point against him,he will soon be relieved from office,i know the kind of politics played in this school,am an alumni.so you got my point,everybody PAYS but the vc will pay MORE.am sorry being harsh on you the first time.

It will b difficult for non futoite to understand the struggle and futo politics. They think it's a plus for the VC, big story! school will resume in no time, because futo as a sch hardly go on strike and issues will be look into for real. I can't help but laff reading the comments here, you have to be a student, past student or have a vast knowledge about the school, b4 u can understand the reasons behind all these. That library is as good as none, the main Futo library is at "BUSHPATH", students keep paying for service they don't use (including ICT and Afrihub payment).

This is d first time i'm hearing Futoite pushing for their grievance dis far, you dare not try this in my dayz or stand to air your opinion, including d SUG excos ( That's how dey add 2 yrs 2 ur 5yrs or 6 if u did PD to make it 8yrs and if you are not lucky enough another 1yr waiting for service after sch). As much as I like GloryLand, I can burn down d whole building for the insensitive ways d demigods called lecturers handle matters. It hurts, many graduates without the knowledge of their results from year 1 - 5, just a statement of result showing your grade when its all said and done, but for 4 to 5 years one can't actually have access to his/her performance, leaving students with heavy mindset and paranoia behaviour.

I get that point. The truth is schools all over the world have ways of frustrating students. But I stilll beileve that there are other ways to settle grievance. Definitely not violence. Violence set people and communities backwards!!!
