At least 4 people died after a powerful storm pummeled Southern California on Friday night, flooding numerous roadways in Los Angeles and San Diego. The worst storm to hit Southern California in decades. Friday's storm threatened mudslides in foothills areas denuded by fire and toppled hundreds of trees and power lines. A Los Angeles sinkhole swallowed two cars and a firetruck spilled off a freeway shoulder when the roadway collapsed in the Cajon Pass, but no one was hurt. Man, 55, died in hospital after he was electrocuted when a tree downed power lines near Los Angeles. Another man drowned in Victorville when his silver Mercedes was overtaken by a flash flood. More than 131,000 people lost power Friday as a result of fierce storms. As blessed as we are in this Country, we don't get to experience such hazards, but more human problems. My prayers are with the wounded and to the dead, RIP. See how a good govt will immediately arrange for palliatives, remedy the situation and ensure people get their lives back, unlike the situation here, where personal interests, will make some mofos (polithiefcians) still take advantage of the situation.
