Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has released some special phone numbers for Police rapid response. They are for police Public Complaints Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU). The phone numbers are:
*0805 700 0001 and
*0805 700 0002 (these 2 numbers are for only calls),
*0805 700 0003 (this one is for text messages and messages on whatsapp).
If and when any police personnel acts beyond his or her limits or if you want to report any excesses of police personnel directly to the Inspector General of Police, you can:
* (1) Call any of these 2 numbers:
0805 700 0001,
0805 700 0002, or
*(2) Send a text message, or a message on whatsapp, to this number:
0805 700 0003.
I also have information that 1 of the other uses of the numbers is that, if you are unduly harassed by the police, especially on the road, you can quickly call, send a text message, or send a message on whatsapp to the appropriate numbers.
