One Naijeria crew, u see wat a small country like Ghana can achieve?

It is not one Naijeria where the strongest gorilla run things. Cult, gang, randy/corrupt professor cannot even allow students to study in the dirty universities.

I am proud of wat Ghana have achieved.

What the fvck is wrong with us in Nigeria

When are we shut down Aso Rock and demand for good schools for our children Even the expensive education the privileged few get in Nigeria is absolutely worthless.

We are the most foolish people in the world. Our GDP is higher than these African countries, yet they have better schools, better transport systems, better security, better everything!

But we'll sit back and let useless old unenlightened thieves ruin the future of our children unborn.

The smart Nigerian child has little chances of exploring his potential and chasing after his dreams because his useless country won't provide the equipment and environment necessary for learning and creativity. His only option is to become an autodidact and hope for scholarships from foreign countries or if he's lucky, his parents can afford to send him outta the rotten nation.

What the fvck is more important than the future of our children?

Fvcking useless people. Always arguing about useless tribes, useless religions and useless political parties. I'm angry I was born in a nation of 200 million spineless functional illiterates.

The worst part is that some are still arguing that their respective shithole they graduated from is better than this.

There are many indices:
1. there should be foreign students in a university (Do you have any foreign students Nija University?)
2. Basic infrastructures;
3. Students/Lectures ratio etc.

I beg jo, no 1 is not really a criteria for measuring the quality of education offered at a uni.How do you mean by basic infrastructures. If na power, then its not really a university issue, its a national issue. With regards to basic education, there is not much ug can offer, yes they have the noguchi memorial institute which is actually thriving, but university of ghana is better known for humanities than science and technology. They began offering education in the sciences not too long ago.The faculty of Engineering buildings looks pretty nice, but it has close to no required tech talkless of advanced tech.In 2013, they overadmitted students into the faculty of Engineering, over 350 students. I guess they realized it and admitted less students in the year 2014.You can have over 10 students sharing a set of apparatus during experiments, sometimes 1 apparatus for a multitude of students. For ghana's premier university, you should expect a well planned newly developed faculty, but tht cannot be said of UG. But there is 1 advantage though, there are no strikes, which is characteristic of Nigerians uni, and if any occurs, it usually takes a short time to be addressed.I can vouch for the stability, and i know thts what most of my Nigerian folks think. But there is no reason dramatizing the quality of education unis in Ghana offer. There are not so many unis in Ghana, and there are fewer unis(about 5 major unis), so the government should be up to task to manage them, this is the reason why the admission criteria is high for public schools(the best students attend the public schools-both secondary and tertiary),there are some private schools though on par or even better than the public schools, just with less internaitonal reputation..I dont understand the high influx of Nigerian students into unis in Ghana,i can understand KNUST and Uni of Ghana, but zenith college and co,i dont know what to say.I am not condemning any skul here, i am only stating the fact of quality,Nigerians are so in love with Ghanaian schools, that they would rather get into one, even if its just an aggregate of buildings. May God help us all, but i just want to clear the air, University of ghana is not better than Nigerian federal universities, and mind you i am more wound in the Ghanaian fabric than you can think of.I attended Uni of Ghana as a domestic student(Engineering) before i left, and i resided at commonwealth hall(VANDAL CITY) so i know exactly what is happening there. Their system is as ineffective as ours these days, the system should understand the needs of the people and integrate it where and when suitable, but the system decided that no other time was better for Engineering program at ghana's premier university than the 21st century.I guess the system was sleeping through the 20th century. The tuition fee for international students is far too much for its worth in my opinion. All ghana uni hopefuls i wish you all the best.

If this pictures re true and authentic, then I strongly will recommend that all our Federal and State universities should be converted to grazing fields for Fulani herdsmen so as to drastically reduce clashes between herdsmen and farmers. Confining them inside our universities will bring about rapid growth in our agricultural sector as tonnes of beef will be produced yearly.

Moreover, We will be producing more beef, milk, fur, hides and meaningful by-products rather than unemployed graduates. Solutions like this can help revive our economy.

Private universities can still catch up if supported, though they will be expensive. But quality wont be compromised

You are talking nonsense. This university is not even as beautiful as Unilag not no talk of OAU or ABU if structures are what make a University to you. Have you been to Covenant Uni or Afe Babalola Uni or Landmark Uni? What is the criteria for ranking the University as best in Africa? How many of their graduates do they have doing wonders all over the world. Go to the first 100 companies in the world and count how many graduates of Nigeria Uni doing great jobs compare to graduates of Ghana Uni. Our country is bad because of bad leaders but you should never compare the brain of a Nigerian to the brain of a Ghanaian, the difference is clear. If you give Nigerian yahoo boys the task, they will defraud the Ghanaian government and sell Ghana to Vietnam at give away price.

You need Aggregate 6 in your WASSCE and do exceptionally well in an
interview conducted by the university Registrar

Lol that's not true.

It's only medical students that go through interviews.

And no, you don't need an aggregate 6 to come to UG.
That's for some specific courses like medicine.

You just have to get a C and above in your Wassce.

You can also check the UG website for application requirements for international students.

you are right but on most occasions , the number of people applying for a particular programme can be higher than the spaces available and its not medicine alone. Law students get to take an interview , economics as well. The business schools also does conduct and interview

Lol where are you getting your info from?

Lol I'm offering B.A. Econs, Maths and Accounting, which means I'm taking courses from the Business school, department of economics and the school of physical and mathematical sciences.

Yet, I never attended a single interview.
The whole application process was even done online.

And the only law students who go for interviews are the postgraduates.

It's funny how you're so sure about this misinformation.

Imagine university of Ghana conducting interviews for the about 40,000 students placed.

Because each year, almost every single program gets more than the required number of students they can take.

They just look at the grades and take the best ones.
No need to conduct interviews and examinations or whatever
lol let's not argue about this.

I'm telling you, 2013 they conducted an interview for 3000 students because it was the only option left. They couldn't use the grades because they we're all highly qualified by grades. That year, over or closed to a 100,000 students applied to Legon alone

The comparism had nothing to do with Academia or how relevant the university is. Hence my comment was merely within the context the OP was talking about; which is infrastructure. Thankfully u admitted that some naija unis can measure up to UG so what r u bamboozing me for?
