When you remember that "Reverend" King who for long was sentenced to death by hanging, is still alive, you'll just dismiss this story with a wave of the hand, knowing fully that this man will not go to any jail.

Welcome judgement..I just hope he serves it fully to the terms.
It is unfortunate this young man is going in for a long stretch and definitely end in hell there, but there are some people his money which he looted are hanging with. Some of this are his so-called relations. Infact, I beleive now that this Ogori/Magongo people are the worst looters of public till in Kogi. The more reason why they kill themselves.

Chai Saraki own fit reach 365years.

Justice Inyang should warm up for Supreme Court job.
Amazing decision.

He's actually going to be in jail for just two years as he was convicted on 77 counts for 2 years each to run concurrently and not consecutively.

Abeg make una cool una blood, na all this "fraudulent" jail sentence. He's just been handed a 2 year jail term. All the 154 years na lie dey there, its 77 counts x 2= 154years. The 77 counts will be served concurrently meaning all the counts starts same day that he was arrested and will end after 2years. He's probably used 10-12 months (starts since d first day of arrest through to court hearing and verdict) out of the 2 years and it will remain less than 12 months to spend in Jail. The late alams was the same, he was handed 12 years on 6 count charge and he had exhausted like 18 months through court hearing and verdict. By the time they convicted him it was 6 month left which he spent in Dubai as he claimed health issues.
Ibori was sentenced to 13 years in 2012 and got out in 2017. Tell me my maths teacher has thought me wrong 2012+13 = 2017

English LAW is the greatest fraud of all times. Make we throway the useless thing and burrow law from china or Saudi, make we kill them all. Fraudulent law that is used to try fraudulent people, no be fraudulent jail sentence we go get!!! awon wereyyyyy
let me put the record straight, his conviction is consecutive not simultaneously as you think And besides is a two years each on every single conviction (google it out for verification).
That of ibori is very glaring as well but some find it difficult to comprehend.
A jail term is counted day and night not 24 hours as thou thinketh. I mean it's calculated 12hours instead of 24hours as widely believed ! Oya do your calculation again?

Justice Inyang Ekwo, who presided over the case at a Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State, found him guilty of 77 counts out of the 208 counts and then sentenced him to 154 years imprisonment. In his ruling, the trial judge, held that the prosecution proved its case beyond every reasonable doubt, and therefore sentenced Daudu to two years on each of the 77 counts to run simultaneusly

Misinterpretation is what make you a confused soul !
Now let do the calculation 2years each on the 77 conviction: 2 *77= 154 Years
If it was to run simultaneously as allege 154/2 = 77 Years.

You do not need to be to be insulting or attempt to be patronising especially when u are advocating an ifnorant opinion!

The prison sentence of 2 years per count is to run simultaneously for all 77 counts! That is if he is committed to prison today, he will be out same time 2019 barring any issues which mat be raised. He will serve 2 years for all count charges at the same time! While in prison, he will be there for all 77 counts on every given day until the time is up!

Who told you that he will serve it concurrently? Did you read the judgment in details? What if the judgment actually said the punishments should run consecutively?

Its not a new thing, na their way be that. Nobody steals that amount of money in Nigeria as a politician and will be in prison for even 5yrs. They only read out the 154years and 77 count to fool people. Have u ever heard of any Nigerian politician that has been sent to 10 years in prison?? talk less of 154 years in this corruption ridden country?? Ibori wey dem convict for uk sef na 4years, despite reading out 3 years. People claimed prison sentence na 12hrs for a day and that should amount to 6years, but na 4 yrs he spent. Long term prison sentence are only meant for the common man not "polithiefians".

Oga what are u saying? 12hrs for a day abi? that would be 2 days in 24hrs no be so, and that is an equivalent of 2year in 1 year. Then 13yrs divide by 2yrs = 6.5years. from 2012 - 2017 no be 5 years be that? where the remaining 1.5year?? who go use am?

Abeg forget the law na yau yau law nothing dey there. Its only meant for common man like me and u. Have u ever heard of a Nigerian politician jailed for 7 years talkless of 77 or 154??

The prison term is too long and not reasonable, and that is injustice. That is an evil justice like the jungle justice. The time is too long. Those know nothing about justice and they are the ones turning justice upside down in Nigeria
