The Tears Of An Hustler Based On True Life Story (my Experience In Lagos)by JAYB by alphonsojaybaz: 6:30pm On Mar 03, 2017
My name is Tunde, am the last born of my family. i was born in a very rugged part of Lagos popular known as Mushin, I grew up to the age of 5 before my dad was sick and we later relocated to our house in the outskirt of Lagos, life was different from the old ways. My Dad was seriously sick, and his leg and hand were paralyzed but he struggles to walk. I love my dad so much because I was his favorite and he cares about me , before he was sick, he bought me a brand new bicycle before he was sick which I ride around.
We live from hand to mouth, which my brothers will have to go and hustle and come back before we could eat, Sometimes we starve throughout the whole day, and my mom will go out and collect bread #50 in credit which I will eat with water. Someday I will cry and cry for so many hours which my mom will console me, that my brothers will soon be back that I will eat soon.
This happened for so many months before God finally answered our prayer which our first born now own a shop at Ikeja computer village where he repairs and sell computers, a few years later, everything turn around and we started living a good life and it was like all our problems is gone , the next year, our first born travelled to America and came back with lots of goodies and wears, he bought me a shoe and a top I so much cherished it. Not so long, I lost my Dad and my other brother was in school at the federal university of technology. I was Later asked to go and live with my uncle at Ibadan who was a special adviser to the governor and it was a life of luxury because I was excited about me relocating to Ibadan. My uncle enrolled me in Federal Government college and I was to stay in the school hostel. New environment, New life, New People. I suffered mockery, hardship, and abuse because I have never experience that kind of life before, my former school was a private school and here it is different, I faced a lot of bullies, abuse from my seniors and hardship but I later get along and adapted to life at the hostel, I completed my secondary and I came back in Lagos. On getting to LAGOS I STARTED LIVING WITH MY SECOND BROTHER THAT WAS WAS SENT PACKING AFTER HE CAME BACK FROM NYSC BY OUR FIRST BORN (MY BROTHER) WIFE, HE WAS SCOTTING WITH A GUY CALLED MATHEW IN AN UNCOMPLETED BUILDING. SO Life started there with me and my other brother (Meji) , he has gone for many job interviews but he couldn’t get a job, so he started hustling at Ikeja and he starting earning some money . I was home writing songs then because I have passion for music. I later met a friend on street popularly known as baboo (the Local street hiphop star) which promise to help me .so I saved my feeding allowance given to me by my brother for a month before I could raise 5,000naira, baboo took me to the studio. it was my first time in a studio, I was super excited, there was an artist recording already he sound very good, he is popularly known as Incredible pelse . he sounds like Rkelly and I was so touched by the way he sings. Now it was my turn , I was standing like a dummy , so the producer played so many beats until I finally love one so I brought out my paper were I wrote all my raps, I wanted to be a rapper.it took me almost 8hours before I could finish my song, the producer was so angry and said i will have to bring more money that have wasted fuel. I recorded my first song , titled – Won ti Gan Pa … the song was so amateur but the lyrics is fair for a starter.. so I later got a job as a cafe attendant and I get 10k monthly and i use half of my salary for a studio section and I recorded more songs ,I was admitted to the polytechinic of Ibadan which I started my full time music career and was popularly known in school..after I completed my OND I was back in Lagos. I Met with an Event Manager and Promoter he listened to my song and he love it, he said for me to perform in his show , I will have to pay him 20k..i don’t even have 2k to my name , I try and try so harder to secure a show in Lagos but all my effort is futile because it was different from the way we run stuff in my school. I met a popular guy who is just still upcoming in his career, he promised he his going to get me big shows in Lagos.. so he invited me to his house on getting to his house , he started making advance to me and he started telling me stuff like there is filth in riches that he is a gay and this what happened in the entertainment industry.. I was so shocked and I beg him because he was trying to force me so I told him to let me think about it. To be continued Part Two The Tears of an hustler based on true life story (My Experience In Lagos)
