Even if this story is fake, something similar happened my friends parents tenant who was Igbo. He died barely two years after the wife died leaving behind their children, my friend who were based in Adamawa said he had to pick his phone and call his brother from another state who came to pack the dead body that was almost decomposing. Even if this story is fake, Igbo hold tight to their ohawhatever ndiigbo... They believe those who don't belong see not part of them

First let me say the write up is either fake or economical with the facts.

Before you contend with another's opinion, it is good to look at the whole and not the part, which is why sometimes our opinion portrays myopics.

Let even assume he is from the east having traveled that far,questions you should ask:
1. Has he no friends
2. Has he no relatives
3. Is he not a member of his towns union or any kins and kin association
4. Is he not a member of a church

Burial responsibility is with one's family, the unions if the person is a member will only assist to ensure that the person get his or her right according to the constitution of the union. Even Nigerian in diaspora join associations. It very important that every Igbo person identify with his town union and or be a member of a society in the church. Life is unpredictable, and we not like the white people, who take up different insurances and burial insurance scheme. We are Africans, who lay emphasis on family and association. There is nothing to condend with in this issue. If the late man was truely an Igbo man, he must have failed all the 4 questions I raised above. So it is no persons blame that not buried in his home town. Let the dead bury the dead.
