People would wonder how America got so good at maintenance and logistics that they could have all 18 ships and battle groups in one place. It is incredibly hard to make sure that all are ready at one time. At all times at least half the fleet is docked for maintenance.

But in all seriousness, that would mean all out war with China. it would cause a global economic depression, millions would die in the war and both countries will take significant hits to their navies, but China would take the brunt of the ground military casualties because the war would be fought near China, while the U.S. is isolated thanks to missile defence systems set up during the Cold War.

If it went nuclear however, it would end the world as we know it. While some may survive in the U.S. (China has ~200 nukes), it would be near impossible for anyone to survive in Southeast Asia and China (US has about 6000 nukes) but regardless it would end all economic systems and cause mass famines.

Everyone dies.

Talk about a civil unrest it may be a little careless for america to go to war with china but let us say they go to war and america wins the war

Can you imagine the situation with the 'haves' and 'have nots' in a post nuclear racial america

But lets think on it 1 side has to be our 'hypothetical' winner for nuclear war game. Lets think about it having some war ok then our first priority will become to survive a war if we cant survive the war how will we be the winner Nuclear strike are relatively fast with a far reach now lets put those counter force measures in the equation and we have a clear winner in a short time. I dont think very possible for some nuclear slug fest unless these military are having classified regenerative mutant defense capabilities. The bottom line is no place wants to be subjugated to the sequence of events in the aftermath of a nuclear attack so they all build more lethal machinery and create boogie man stories about wiping out humanity.

Wiping out humanity and modern civilization are a separate task and so to attempt the former these warring factions would in fact need to become devout teammates

The chances of Chinese going head on with America is almost non-existent. China war if any is going to first be with India over Himalaya. The democrats are pushing Trump to go to war with Russia but it will not happen. MCCain's investment in weapons supply can take a hit to the head this time.
