The corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) wishes to inform its esteemed customers that as part of on-going reforms towards making the process of company registration faster, easier and cheaper, the CAC has integrated it's Company Registration Portal (CRP) to the Electronic Stamp Duty Portal of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

The New system has dispensed with the need for customers to submit incorporation documents to FIRS for assessment and physical stamping at various stamp duty offices nationwide.

The stamp duty interface is available immediately after customers fill in the application form and the memorandum and Articles of Association on the CRP. Customers are required to download and print the certificate of stamp duty as well as the Memorandum and Articles of Association together with the application form for execution by the directors and subscribers.

Upon such execution, the documents should be scanned and uploaded through the document upload interface together with all relevant documents including the means of identification of the individual subscribers/directors and their proficiency certificates (where applicable). The link to the document upload interface is available on the CAC website.

The CAC will register the company based on the scanned documents uploaded by the customer. However, the original documents should be surrendered by the customer in exchange for the original certificate of incorporation.

The electronic stamping is only available to customers that initiated and submitted their application for registration through Company Registration Portal (CRP).
