I just feel God was more active in the time before Christ (B.C) and during Christ (D.C). I know the bible says "HE IS THE SAME TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOREVER" but as soon modernization began to set in, things started changing.....the appearance of Christ/God to people started to reduce and yet the rate at which prophets of nowadays reveal prophecies,claiming God spoke to them and later turns out to be false(when the prophecy does not take place) just makes the entire situation doubtful. With the rate of rampant negativity going on in this life, people pray for safety,happiness but the opposite happens......All this got me feeling like the presence of our Almighty creator is beginning to vanish. Its just my own thought and opinion, so no bashing pls. You're free to drop yours too!!!!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

It is the dispensation that makes the difference you observed. This grace period has been used, abused, and misused even by the born again Christian. Because grace abound men tend to pay drag ears to warnings, and continually go deeper and deeper in sin and ungodliness. May God help us. |

Your "BLACK FLAME"(the spirit of doubt/non-conformity) has finally been rekindled, and this is why you are asking all these questions!!! 1.Have you not noticed that Allah is no longer active in Arabia since the invention of camera phones? 2.Have you not also noticed that Odin is no longer active in Scandinavia, even though the Scandinavians were the inventors of NOKIA and ERICSSON camera phones? 3.Why is it that the Japanese gods who supposedly lived on Mount Fujiyama haven,t a single video footage? ULTIMATECYCLER1:Rate of rampant negativity? What do you mean? Are you suggesting that during Jesus Christ's days, the atmosphere was more positive? LOL The Jewish people were ruled over by the Romans and their freedoms curtailed -- I don't believe one could really conclude that the times were more positive times, especially not for those who were followers of Jesus Christ. Remember, the disciples were a minority group back and endured serious persecution from the Jewish majority... many of their lives ending in untimely deaths at the hands of their persecutors. As for God, yes, He is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever! His power remains the very same Power that Jesus Christ revealed to all His followers. What has changed? Believers have en masse chosen to adopt man's doctrines and rules rather than the pure, unadulterated, teachings of Jesus Christ, and as result, the power of God has been made null in the lives of many who claim to be Christians... something Jesus Christ severally warned of in His teachings. |

God Almighty is the Totality of Existence and the activity of Existence is unlimited. The biblical god Jehovah is just a writer of stories to rule his people. Now that he has died away from the earth, you can only think of his activities through his exaggerated book called the bible. Same goes to Allah, Vishnu, Ahura Mazda, etc. |

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. -Hebrews 1:1-2 In the times, BC, God spoke through those things you expect now-fire, thunder, earthquakes etc. Yet, once upon a time, those things paved way, for God’s goodness to be proclaimed through His words. Now, AD, the only way He has chosen to speak or make Himself known are through the words and acts of His Son, Christ Jesus. So the verse that says: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever“, still is in effect as it was BC; it has always been the modus operandi of God to win people through speech or His words. However, BC, the people were afraid to approach God because preceding His message was terror; but now, the scriptures says to us: For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind, and to the blast of a trumpet and the sound of words which sound was such that those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them. But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel...See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. The scriptures then goes us to show us how God has decided to reveal Himself apart from terror (which hindered the preaching of His words) in these verse: And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven." This expression, "Yet once more," denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe - This was His revelation to Elias on Mount Horeb - Signs and Wonders in the heavens doesn’t draw people to righteousness; so faith has to come by hearing the word of God alone. Therefore, the only prophet we have now is Christ and His words according to the scriptures. Christ is our appointed prophet. So with the removal of the terrors and physical things that used to usher God’s word, God seems to draw many through personal experience rather than the communal experience that once was. God is here, an you know it not. |

ULTIMATECYCLER1: The first thing to find out is WHO ARE GOD'S PEOPLE TODAY? If you don't believe God has a special people that he is directly dealing with in each generation, then you can never understand what he is doing, hence you'll conclude he is no more. For instance, try to picture those who lives in far away Asia when God's attention was focused on Israelites in Egypt, what exactly do you think God will be doing to carry along such people when they're no part of his plan at that time in history? Of course such ones will have their own deities (gods) they formed out of nowhere and whatever happens in their midst will be taken as presence of the Almighty until they hear of a god who travelled all the way to go and deliver his own people from the most powerful nation of their time. That's when anyone who hears of such a god will love to become a worshiper of such invincible deity, until then it's whatever they know that they'll be worshiping. That's exactly what is happening today! God has chosen a group and it's only within their midst that you can see his activities, so if you don't know them nor have any dealings with them definitely you will just be like those who live in Asia when the true God was delivering his people (Israelites) out of Egypt!  1 Like 1 Share |
