The Senate has confirmed the receipt of the nomination of Honourable Lucky Ayedatiwa as the Ondo State Representative on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission,( NDDC). In a nomination letter by the President, addressed to the Senate, which was read at the plenary session earlier today, The President, Mohammadu Buhari requested for the confirmation of Ayedatiwa as Ondo State representative on NDDC board.

When confirmed, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa will fill the vacuum created by the Senate rejection of Tokunbo Ajasin on the account that he was not from the oil producing areas of Ondo State.

Lucky Ayedatiwa was the APC’s candidate in the 2015 House of Representative election for Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal constituency and a close ally of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Ondo State Governor. Ayedatiwa is from Mahin ward IV of Ilaje Local Government
