My Experience At Carl Care, The Official Infinix Service Center (2017) by BRATISLAVA: 4:07pm On Apr 04, 2017
Today was an experience I would rather forget, but for the disgust I feel at Nigerians in general I must state this.

There is something called CUSTOMER SERVICE and no Nigerian ought to sit behind a desk and serve people, because they are the most rude and aggressive people to meet at such sensitive positions in establishments.

Today I went to Carl Care hoping to get a battery changed for an older device. That is because I called the customer care lines but they were all unavailable. It is funny how there are lines that don't work published online and elsewhere.

On getting to the SLOT building, there was a general air of disinterest in people walking into the building. (Except maybe if you count all the slavish staff literally waiting at the beck and call of ONE Chinese man!). The particular office of the Carl Care was on the second floor and on getting there I was met with a crowd that rendered the air conditioning invalid and only one staff on seat. How is it that Carl Care know they have such a crowd of people with issues and they have only one staff on seat? On getting to ask the woman on seat questions, she was obsessed with screaming at the security woman who was languidly walking about the place drinking from a bottle of fanta or some other soda. The irritating fellow was chewing with her mouth open and just roving the place with the desk personnel on seat screaming at her. All this occuring from the moment I got upstairs and stopped to try and explain my problem to her. I was standing and watching all this unfold.

When the customer care agent eventually stopped her rant, she ignored me to attend to the woman behind me. Perhaps I wasn't fat enough and as bearded as the woman, but there is something called etiquette on lines, and staff ought to obey it first. I decided to let it slide and focused on the task at hand. The woman staff of CarlCare, a very ugly creature that looked like a beast had eaten her and spat her out on a heap of dung, then disinterestedly responded to my greeeting. On getting to the part about telling her that I needed a new battery, she asked for my phone make which I told her. I expected that with the attitude she was putting out that she at least knew why she was asking me that question.

Do you know this stupid customer care agent snapped at me to remove my phone battery and acted like I am supposed to know what she wants by merely looking at her ugly face? She was huffing and got up from her seat and doing other things while I waited for her with the battery. When she returned she looked at me and then told me that they don't have the battery in stock. All this after waiting for her to roam and return. I decided to leave before words would be exchanged. I did not get her name but she should be confined to a cell where lions are released on her to tame her.

What is the point of a customer service center, you Carl Care people, if you do not have stock and if you are not ready to be of service to anybody? The attitude of that staff and the crowd there tells me that Carl Care should be limited to backwater areas where the savage agents can also interact with savage customers, not those beasts released on unassuming customers with complaints.

This is the same attitude of Nigerians in banks, Nigerians in traffic, Nigerians everywhere.

Come on, if you don't want a job that makes you interact with humans, then go and work at a rubbish dump!

Pardon my typos but I am very angry.

@Akeema14

You're lucky you have humans where you are.

I'm telling you that the experience was a terrible one. The attitude, the heat, the tone of voice the crowd... Just everything.

I don't know why Nigerians cannot respect their offices and for heaven sake this is supposed to be customer care.

I've had an argument with a bank customer care agent based on the person's rudeness. The man was flirting with a customer at the back and told her to come to the front. When I confronted him, seeing as we were both with counter withdrawal slips, he said I should go back to the line. I told him that I couldn't, not after that gross indecency. He had to attend to me ahead of others as well because he knew what he was doing was very wrong.

Until those on seat learn to respect what they sit behind their desks for, there will always be problems.

OMG.

Don't talk about aviation grin In flight you will see things that will make you wonder if you're in a plane or a flying catapult! And when on ground they will cancel and ruin your travel plans.

I got better service elsewhere. Nigerians have really poor corporate service culture. They are so aggressive and have no solutions, like they just sit at you and look at you when you have a complaint. They aren't ready to go an extra step in giving you a solution. Unless you ask to see the manager. grin
