The hotel rates are starting from N18,000 very pricy.

I can get American motel 6 level accommodations for N6,000 in the same Ibadan.

In my opinion, Ibadan is a much better city than Lagos.
More space. Much peaceful and laid back. Less crowded. Less traffic. And much friendlier.
The only good thing about Lagos is that because it is the commercial capital of Nigeria, there is always plenty of buzz there and a lot of cash flow.
Lagos basically has everything you want and you can find and buy anything that you desire but it is still a hell-hole of a city to live in.
The city is NOT planned at all. For a city of that population, the state of infrastructure is deplorable. Mass transit leaves a lot to be desired.

Just the state of traffic congestion and rubbish in Eko City alone will give you a migraine headache or some serious high blood pressure.
You see people in broad daylight, in a crouched or bent over position, just taking a shit and wiping their asses, right there, next to the overpass or the flyovers and right by the lagoon simply because there is no public toilet they can use. There is no clean water. Filth and pollution everywhere.

Most of these pictures are misleading. People shouldn't get thier hopes too high. I've been to everywhere on this list and they are not as beautiful as the pictures are depicting. Some of the things shown here don't really exist.
1. No gorilla at UI zoo anymore, just chimps
2. No zebra anywhere in Ibadan, be it agodi or UI
3. Amusement park no longer functions, the last time I went there I was told no light, no fuel in the generator as well
4. Cultural centre no longer functions, just go there to take skoochies and agbo jedi. And the stench of orisirisi urine will be ur companion till u are done.

Any updates ? Has there been improvements, functionality, light etc

UI zoo is now okay. But you won't find zebra or gorilla still
Amusement park is now for hangout, bar and chops. The park amenities no longer function
Goldberd haw refurbished the Cultural center. Tho the cinema isn't functioning, but you can hangout there

NEVER go to agodi during the rainy season.
Iita is a beautiful place to behold.
Security is ok in both places.
