Nigeria and Arsenal, why are they synonymous?

Nigeria as a country has enjoyed some good years before 1966 even though everything seems to have gone to shit right now. But because we have hope that things will get better we keep believing. Without hope and belief, we could have start looking for applying for citizenship everywhere else.

Arsenal situation is just like what Nigerians ( a larger part if not all) are going through. Arsenal is a team I have been following fanatically since 2003 and I've enjoyed a very good moments supporting them though not quite long. In the past 10 years, arsenal have been very poor and also have failed to mount any serious challenge for all major trophies they have participated in. This season in particular has been woeful.

As of the time of writing this, the club just got humiliated by crystal palace, also in this dreadful run, they conceded 10 goals on aggregate to Bayern Munich. Not the best of time to be a gunners I must confess but it's the club I support and which I will keep on supporting no matter what.

Every time Arsenal get humiliated or get beaten, friends and fans of other clubs always mocks and asks why I keep supporting the club. And on every occasion I give them the story of how we've been good in the past by making reference to past glories.

You don't back out of a relationship just because things are bad at the moment but that you have to believe it will get better.

Just as in the Nigerian situation, truth is anywhere else we might adopt as home would never really feel like home (just as I can't follow another club). And if you are like that you have left is to HOPE that it will get better.

Chelsea did worse than this last season and they came back stronger, Man Utd are currently doing it. The tough times don't last.

Arsenal are always like dis is just dat orda team step up dis season. if u go down the years like 5 years u see dat one of either chealsea.,man u,spurs or liverpool are having poor seanson and arsenal will still struggle to make top 4 buh dis season now everybody is up trying to win or make top 4 and arsenal cannot contend with dem.
