Messi out shined Ronaldo yesterday as Barcelona won. What I am concerned about is the way people used that match to discredit Ronaldo over Messi. If you discredit Ronaldo because of this El clasico, then we can discredit Messi using the ucl tie with juventus. Stop comparing them, both are good and they have their moments at different times. Based on this week, Ronaldo is better but I wouldn't use that.

If I were to pick one, I would pick Messi because he has a very slight edge but most times both are inseparable. Both have had good and very bad moments.

Ronaldo was great against Bayern despite the offside goal. Messi was no where against Juventus nevertheless, both are great players.

where was Messi when juve were scoring three in the first leg? Did the three goals fall from heaven? If Ronaldo's incapability justifies Messi's incapablity then, in a way, you are saying Ronaldo is better. Both of them are good.

My response was in regards to bolded. Ronaldo may have been good against Bayern, but his goals were offiside. Infact, the officiating that day was bad, ans it favoured Madrid the most.

hmmn comparing both guys is sometimes unfair but am very sure both have one thing in common and that is greatness... like it or not they are undeniable greatest players of ancient and modern football. if you really wish to know the meaning of consistency.,, ask them both becos they have consistent right from their inception to soccer planet..
