is it just me or has anyone else noticed how the female cast in yoruba movies are mainly light skinned? the biggest female yoruba moviestars are lightskinned e.g bukky wright, shola sobowale, mercy aigbe, fathia balogun, ireti osayemi. the only big darkskinned yoruba star is funke akindele.

it is sheer ignorance that skin tone preference exists in the black/african society. I find it so sad that we codemn our own skin colour and many actresses these days are bleaching just to appear more 'attractive'.

We black people are own our worst enemies. how dare we condemn our own colour. light skin is NOT more appealing than dark skin, we are all black people for christsakes. the sooner we embrace ourselves instead of bringing each other down, the better for all of us.

im a light-skinned chick myself and i think its utter stupidity that lighter skin is prefered in our society.

WAKE UP BLACK PEOPLE!!!
