That's is a sign of dishonour. The ancient powers are sending signals to him that henceforth, his symbol of honour (Royal Regalia) is BURNT. He had better appease the gods, Sharply. 6 Likes |

It's a very serious concern that despite the fact that lagoon with sufficient water surrounds the island yet fire could wreck havoc and destroyed traditional regalia of the monarch. The implication to my mind is that whenever we see Oba in his traditional regalia ,we should assume that he is fake as original is burnt !!! 9 Likes 2 Shares |

So those claiming sophistication and education are just mere pagans. No wonder human body parts business thrives in that zone. Always pictures of headless, breastless and genitalless bodies recovered. All used for rituals. 1 Like |

NoRetreat: New regalia are always being made and modified in most places. Are all obas of a dynasty same height and size? Are they suppossed to last forever? Are those bling regalia that Oluwo wears ancient ones? 2 Likes |

Lol, the fifth rate Duke got his just due. He might need to buy a new one from Primark. If Ijebus were to decide to take the Eyo festival back from his small enclave because that's the only real culture they have and it was gifted to them by Ijebus - it's over for the Duke of Eko and his people. Midget Duke with short man syndrome smh. 9 Likes 1 Share |

rabonni: What do you mean by 'ordinary fire'? You people should liberate your minds from all these nonsense superstitions. It's either the fire resulted out of carelessness from a palace staff or it was intentionally caused. As an ex police man, Rilwan should get to work and unravel the cause. If he hasn't got cctv installed in his palace then he need to do it asap. if the fire wasn't an accident, then someone with sinister intentions started it. |
